Can be either a console or handheld or any Nintendo video gaming product.
I start
1) Gameboy
SNES and Dolph ..ehmm i mean GC close enough

Really tough one.
I'm always torn between SNES, N64, and Gamecube, and GBA, DS, and 3DS on the handheld side.
I'll go with SNES because of the sheer staggering quality and quantity, and for handhelds, GBA, with 3DS closing in fast.
GameCube for three main reasons.
- Resident Evil Remake was an incredible fan service that had awesome visuals that held up through the generation after it released.
- I was properly introduced to the Zelda series with this system. Thanks to the Zelda Collectors disc and the GBA Player add on for the system, i owned every Zelda game on my Gamecube. It's my favorite Nintendo series regardless that I hated Skyward Sword due to motion controls.
- The Gamecube controller was Nintendo's best by far. It was my favorite controller until the PS4 released.
I would have to go with the Gamecube, most of it's games; Metroid Prime, Super Mario Sunshine, Double Dash and Melee were better than the previous and future iterations. I even have fond memories of that Star Fox Adventures game though I'v heard it was pretty average.
DS. My 2nd favorite handheld after the PSP which just edged it out because of some Japan exclusive RPGs. System is great though with some epic games. A close second would be the SNES.
Gameboy SP. When it first came out, all my nieces and nephews wanted one. I bought a handful (well, two handfuls), one for each family (of my relatives/in-laws).
The N64
That console provided so many revolutionary games and so many incredible multiplayer experiences.
The Gamecube with the Gameboy Advance Player.
It was probably my most played system during the PS2 era.
Probably my Game Boy Pocket. I got it as a birthday gift from my best friend, and after that, I joined him and the rest of my friends in the '98-'99 pokemon craze. Those were some fun times.
Super Nintendo. It's not even a contest here.
I beat A Link to the Past on the Gamecube.
EDIT:
Gamecube could play Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, Silver, Gold, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Fire Red, and Leaf Green.
Donkey Kong Country Trilogy can also be played on Gamecube.
Metroid 1, Zero Mission, Fusion, and Metroid 2 can be played on Gamecube.
Not even mentioning Zelda 1, 2, Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time with all new Master Quest, as well as 2 new Zelda games Windwaker and Twilgiht Princess.
All of the then current Resident Evil games were playable on the Gamecube.
Metroid Prime.
All Megaman games during the time could be played on the Gamecube.
Please tell me why was the Super Nintendo better than the Gamecube?
Chrono Trigger? Gamecube could play Golden Sun.
Final Fantasy? Please the Gamecube had Crystal Chronicles AND FF 1&2, 4, 5, and 6!
Gamecube was easily the best Nintendo system ever created, it's a shame many did not see it as such back in the day.
Super Nintendo. It's not even a contest here.
I beat A Link to the Past on the Gamecube.
There was more to SNES than just Link to the Past ;)

... how?
@AdobeArtist: Read my edit. Clearly Nintendo had a gangbusting System on their hands.
Secret of Mana?
Gamecube had Sword of Mana.
Gamecube also had Fire Emblem.
and it had F-Zero and Star Fox.
Gamecube clearly beats Super Nintendo.
@charizard Gameboy player.

Gameboy Player.
Gameboy Player. Right, I was thinking of the Classic Zelda collection, and that one did not have Link to the Past, so I was confused lol
^^^ The super Gameboy player was AWESOME. I would buy a BUNCH of Nintendo's handheld games if they had a converter to play them on a larger screen like back in the day... sigh...
If I am missing something, then someone let me know (even if it isn't exactly Nintendo endorsed)
Now... Picking one thing... wow that is tough I have hundreds.
However, I will go with the original NES... simply because it was my first true console I loved and the console I own the most games for (over half the entire US catalog of games). I have a goal to collect the entire collection, but obviously I have to be reasonable... if it gets down to a couple of the last games that fetch between $5,000-$15,000 I might just have to settle without those unless a streak of extremely good luck comes my way.... even then I think I would get sick dishing out the cash for World Championships even if I hit the lottery... lol
Super Mario Bros. And then Super Mario Bros. 3.
As far as systems, SNES is my favorite followed closely by Wii U.
Portables, well I really gotta give it to the GBC. Amazing system and playing Pokemon RBY and Pokemon GSC was an amazing experience. But, I haven't enjoyed pokemon since RSE, probably because I really wore out that formula.
Original Gameboy.
I go back and forth on which is the greatest game hardware of all time. Original Gameboy or PS2.

GL with that !! That will be one of a hell of collection!

Wow !! Closely by Wii U !!? Thats a first !!
Strangely enough it's the N64 despite having the least amount of games I've enjoyed on any Nint console. Just had such a blast with the local MP on Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Mario Kart 64, Snowboard Kids, Duke Nukem and Turok. It changed gaming for me and my friends really. Top that off with Mario 64 which at the time was ground breaking, Zelda OOT and MM and it's an easy call for me.
It's probably mainly down to the fact that I love having mates over and playing local MP and at that time in my life we all had more time to do this sort of thing! Online just isn't the same.

Well I really like it, it's probably one of my favorite systems at this point.
Really hard to say...the NES was awesome, the SNES was amazing, etc...however i think i'm going to go with the GameCube, so many awesome memories from that system, from great games like RE4, WindWaker, Metroid Prime, Paper Mario, to great multiplayer experiences like FIFA 07, Mario Strikers, F-Zero, Double Dash, Day of Reckoning and...well, of course Super Smash Bros Melee.
in terms of hardware its a toss up between the snes and the wii.
the snes had a great controller and many brilliant games. it also had many wow moments like playing starwing and donkey kong country.
the wii was the same for me. the first time using the wiimote in twilight princess put a smile on my face but it was things like the sword fighting in wii sports resort (which remains epic) and red steel 2 (criminally ignored by the gaming masses), the controls for okami and metroid prime 3 and the sheer spectacle of mario galaxy that made it a fantastic console. lots n lots of crap games were released for it (same with the snes) but the games that delivered...boy did they deliver (like the lostwinds games...also brilliant). it could also play GC games and the VC catalogue got very respectable.
its a real shame nintendo didnt run with the ideas and make a wii 2. the wii was a good start but there was loads of room for improvement in the controller and an increase in horsepower combined with an enhanced wiimote and nunchuck could lead to some more interesting ideas.
games wise there are a few games that will be going with me to my grave.
metroid prime, mario galaxy, zelda wind waker, mario kart DS (there hasnt been a better mario kart since) and xenoblade. oh and super mario world.
