What is the worst PlayStation system?

I think it's between the PSP and the PS3. The PSP had little impact on the market (but had a few good games), while the PS3 had huge dry spells.

The Vita is also up there, but at least it has a better catalogue once you include the PSP library as well?

Handhelds, because Sony barely supported them...

Sony aggressively killed PSP because of "pirates" (LOL) while Vita is dying dead because of lack of support.

Whomever of the two? I dunno, maybe Vita because it's newer?

Honestly the selection would have been way harder if it was PS1 v PS2 v PS3. PS4 would obviously lose right now, but like it should.

The Vita is a great system, it just lacks the exclusive support it needs from publishers.

The PSP was always very "janky." It always looked and felt really cheap to me. Those UMDs were incredibly loud and the disk drive was super flimsy. The lack of a second analog stick was a huge design flaw. For a game system trying to appeal to console gamers, it felt super awkward playing shooters and action games on the system. I maybe bought two games for my PSP, the thing was pretty crappy in general.

If you do that for the vita, why wouldn't you do that for the PS3? It played PS2 games, and had PS1 games on a digital store.

But if i had to choose from one of the main consoles, i'll go with PS1, i mean PS4 is way too young to judge while PS2 and PS3 were fantastic...that doesn't mean that the PS1 was bad...but i don't think it was nearly as amazing as PS2 or PS3.

PS3 could play PS1 games from disc (and from PSN); PS2 compatibility was limited to the few games they put on PSN Store, unless you had one of the 80GB or earlier models.

As for consoles: PS3 is the worst. I mean, I really enjoyed it, and it was definitely my favorite console of last gen, but it had a hell of a rough start and didn't really get going until 2008.

I vote Vita or PSP. I'm not into handhelds other than traveling. Between the two the Vita obviously is newer and has less games, so it loses and got my vote. The PS4 would lose if there was no handheld option imo.

To add, the PS3 also played PS1 games (all PS3 models) and had PS2 games on the digital store as well. This weekend during the Valentine sale I picked up Capcom vs. SNK 2. No trophies, but none needed to enjoy that bad boy. :P

I would have to say even though I enjoy my vita the answer is the vita.

Well, Vita but if it's just consoles, ps3. Ps4 is the easy choice but hasn't been out long enough to call.

Even Sony pretends the Vita doesn't exist, so why should we. May have something to with them putting un-stop nails in its coffin than games.

PS3. It sucked for almost 3 years.

Well currently, I've been looking for excuses to buy games for my PS4 yet still, the only game I have for it is NHL 15. I'm sure it'll improve over time though.

PS4. Library is yawn-inducing and looks to be yawn-inducing for the near future (Bloodborne isn't gonna be enough to float it for me).

Vita is good, but I'm going to have to say PS4. So far it hasn't shown much about what it can do.

I voted Vita because it's been in the market longer then the PS4 and Sony gave up on it way too soon.

Not surprising since the PSP was irrelevant outside of Japan in its last 3-4 years.

The ps4 by default since it has only just started its life span.

PS3, due to the exclusives just not to my tastes. Didnt like DS3, PSN or the dashboard either compared to the 360.

Now I voted like the hand held systems didn't exist. I don't consider them PlayStation more Sony's game-boy. So I went with the ps4. So far it's the only PlayStation that I have absolutely zero interest in owning. The online fee to use online features, while having a joke for an online store, is the final nail in the coffin for the machine in my mind. That and the outdated hardware really have me thinking It's the worst PlayStation to date. I was disappointed when the specs came out, it really put gaming into this stagnation of slightly better looking and that is all. I'm not seeing improvements in the worlds realism, how things interact, AI, or any of the other million things games should and could be implementing but don't due to outdated mid range mobile hardware being the standard in the consoles.

As of right now, PS4. By the end of this gen, Vita.

I'd say the PSP mainly because of its design as its small, one analog stick and that screen so tiny, not as bad as the garbage designs made by nintendo tho.

Once you get past a sizeable amount of frontlog with a purchase of one, you're definitely gonna have to be in a niche to enjoy what it has. I will say there are quite a few indies it personally benefits with its format and design, but it's still a highly lacking system compared to many out there. It still shits on its closest competitor in terms of quality games but that's more of a product of Nintendo being Nintendo. Take their best handheld (the DS) and you thoroughly spank the Vita, genres and general aesthetic quality of games aside.

Those voting the PS4 aren't using common sense. The console has only been out for a little over a year, so by default it is going to be the "worst" console out of the home consoles, but since we are including handhelds as well then definitely the Vita wins worst Sony gaming platform.

Like the Virtual Boy was not in your poll for Nintendo; for the same reason Vita should not have been in this poll, it's a no brainer.

You could also play all your PS1 games (disc) that you already own on the PS3.

Vita. Love the Handheld. But it's the weakest of the Sony systems.
