what is the reason for the hype behind MGS V

it seems like their is so much hype for Metal Gear Solid V, its overwhelming... i find it interesting seeing as MGS 4 was overall underwhelming (in terms of MGS, still a great game)

but The Phantom Pain hype, people saying its going to be game of the year, game of the generation, game of the cenetury, best mgs in the series ever...

what is it about TPP from what you have seen that makes extremely hyped for it

it's insane

well it's a metal gear solid game...

I think the hype built up more when it was announced for PC and Ground Zeroes released as a good PC port.

But mainly its because it's another MGS game for loving fans to play :P

@lostrib: is it the gameplay mechanics, i never played GZ

Ground Zeros was very well received and even if MGS4 ended up kinda disappointing (I still need to play it), MGS3 was goddamned amazing.

I am looking forward to it. I just hope I don't start hearing stupid things Kojima did though.

Ground Zeroes has the best gameplay in a game since Super Mario Galaxy 2, that's why.

Its MGS thats more than enough reason for the hype.

Red Dead Redemption: Phantom Pain

1. It's MGS.
2. GZ was excellent.
3. Way more open.
4. Story of Snake becoming Big Boss.
