What is the best handheld of all time?

Gameboy advance for me or psp.

Hated the ds.

The 3ds has some awesome games, dont like the 3d, touchscreen, two screen etc. Same with ds.

PS Vita

3DS since it has the most games I enjoy.

Well obviously I'm not big on handhelds so I have no idea what would be considered the best, but I played the hell out of the Gameboy Advance, so that's my vote.

Atari Lynx, could fight with GBA games, Lynx two very comfortable, tons of power, great games, insane homebrew scene. Ports from consoles. Original titles blowing GG and Gb out the water. GG being influenced by it in the first place. Back Light, large color palette, able to do 3D effects and scale sprites. Got Arcade and PC dev TP support. Really a more in-depth handheld. Released in the late 80's, that can kepe up with the GBA in quite a few areas. Eww..

@GhoX: To be fair, it does have a lot of experiences in indies and almost anything dual stick the PSP doesn't. I've seen various folk enjoying their Vita more.

3DS. The DS is neat, but like the N64 and PS1, it lives in that awkward hardware dimension where 3D games look weird but no one seems to make sprites based game for it. All those three machines would have benefitted from more 2D games. The Final Fantasy IV PSP remake, for example, looks far prettier than the one on the DS.

So, from the ones I've played one way or another, I'd say it's:

3DS.

GBA.

DS.

PSP tied with the GB and GBC.

Having a circumcision with no anesthesia in your 20s.

Game Gear.

3DS.

And lolvita

3DS with Advance in second place.

It very literally lasted 35 minutes before the batteries needed to be replaced. The only way to continuously play it necessitated keeping it plugged in via the power adapter at all times, in which case, why not just play on your Genesis.

I'm up for the Wii U version after I stop being so damn addicted to the 3DS version.

3DS. The inclusion of MH sweeten the deal considering they were the only games that made me buy a Sony handheld last gen.

could be that you can play a good amount of psp games on vita. So maybe they count them together. On topic I dont really know since I got into the handheld game around the psp and ds.

Either the Gameboy Light or 3DS. I would say the GBA but it has wretchedly bad sound. It is a shame how lousy it is.

DS Lite

Solely for the shout out, Vita (minus the fact it doesn't fold closed) is the best designed handheld gaming system. Too bad smartphones killed it.

The DS for the amount of original titles and hidden gems it has, in addition to some solid Nintendo first party games (M & L: BiS; MKDS; NSMB).

The 3DS also enjoys solid first party support, but lacks the amount of unique 3rd party titles that the DS enjoyed.

If you're going to put N-Gage, you're obliged to put Gizmodo.

It would be a tie between the Vita and the 3DS for me.

Currently own a PSV and while its a great handheld I am disappointed with the lack of support by Sony..

psp - damn good library

I went with DS. Loved that thing. The GBA was great and the 3DS is shaping up to be pretty killer as well though. Shame on the third party front for it though. It just doesn't compare to the DS imo.

Since the Vita is losing tons of support I'm going with 3DS.

Though Vita is still the best handheld I have ever laid my hands on in recent years.
