What GPU tier do you think current gen console have?

I would probably have organized the poll into "Very High End, High End, Middle End, Low End, Very Low End".

Giving out a bunch of PC GPUs and not expecting PC gamers to vote while having console gamers figure out what those GPUs are.....yeah lol

It would be nice to see pc gaming take off again. It has been gaining popularity as of late. Been saying a lot of xbox/ps fanboys will eventually open their eyes to the smoother play and benefits the pc offers, and thus venture into building one. With how advanced the format has become it is a shame that most of the major releases don't cater to the format.

@quebec946: nah, wiiu isnt even on the poll. Wiiu gpu is the around radein 4650, ie old tech and lower cloxked with less rops than that card ... coupled with a 2001 era gamecube cpu with 3 cores instead of 1... that bottlenecks the whole dang thing. Wii u is tje defenition of low end.

The PS4 will be fine even with a low end card. I mean it can run Batman AK better than a 980ti SLI.

well that's a shitty comparison , as about shitty as the PC port Iron galaxy made out of Batman AK in 8 weeks ... while it took more than a year and 100 people working their ass off so you can enjoy batman at 30 fps on that crappy PS4 which you call next generation console

Consoles are more important so it is a priority to treat them better. Batman isn't the first bad PC port and it certainly won't be the last.

It's too bad PC has become such an afterthought for most devs that they simply throw shitty ports at it or you have to sit on your hands and wait over a year to play some of the blockbusters.

I just have very little interest in almost everything that comes out. Not much in the way of gameplay. I like games you can develop skill at--these are a rare breed today. The patches are ridiculous. I recently bought PES2015 and there's a massive patch just to play online--I don't even pay for psn.

Why anyone would care about developing skill in video games is beyond me. Gaming is a distraction. Build skills in things that will actually help you in life. Learn a second language, learn how to write code, learn accounting...develop skills in something constructive.

From my experience the PS4 is about the same as a GTX 760, maybe a little bit more.

It's disappointing all around, there would be the same level of angst if any game was released on all systems and 1 performed much worse than the others due to bad coding.

Potato range. Some say its reaching the Toaster ranges but looking at how poorly most multiplats perform, it cannot be over Potato ranges.

I made a thread a while back about a cheap pc build that was made to compete with the PS4. It uses a GTX 760 and it outperforms the PS4 hands down so far.

It is a distraction. If I'm going to sit in front of a television/monitor I'd prefer to use my brain. It is about boredom. It's the depth of design that is intriguing.

GTX 760 is abit better its on par with vanilla 7970 or 7950 boost, while PS4 is on par with a 7850 or R7 265. A good example of this is BF4 since DICE actually coded PS4 to use compute shaders while X1 and PC didn't because of DX11. At 1600x900 with 4xaa with max settings gets a solid 60+ fps. with 1080p ultra with no AA it averages 58 fps and this is 64MP which is more stressful than SP. PS4 with that game has clear efficiency advantage and yet still cant out right compete with a 2012 era type gpu.

According to that link Consoles are the ones who get the worst version of most AAA multiplats. Only Around 10% of games are better on consoles and stay that way. So much for an afterthought right? For every game you can come up with better on Playstation, I'll come up with 10 more better on PC. This GPU question is quite valid, as upcomming AAA games like Deus Ex or Fallout 4 are already confirmed 30 fps on medium/low without high end mods or effects. Table Scraps if you will.

The problem is with the CPU.

Wii U is less than Tier 6 i.e. my 13 inch ultrabook's Radeon HD 8570M (which is less than 7730) beats Wii U.

Wii U's IGP wouldn't match lowest AMD Kavari APU's IGP. Wii U's IGP is weaker than desktop Radeon HD 5570 (similar to mobile 5770M). Wii U's IGP is based on Radeon HD 4650M.

AMD Carrizo APU has superseded AMD Kaveri APU.
