What games would you like to see return?

My friends: having recently played Dark Forces 2: Mysteries Of The Sith, the females head looks like an oxo cube. This is a very good series that unfortunately have been abused through lack of attention (not sexually).

This made me wonder - I understand many people have deep reservations about remasters. Like a kitchen knife that stabs people: it can also be used to cut cheese in order to create sandwiches.

What games would you like to see returned, in a dignified polished state?

For me personally: Shadowman was a wonderful game in which a demon collected serial killers throughout time for the forthcoming apocalypse. As a child, this was a scary game that featured Jack The Ripper climbing walls in a subway, unable to be killed, morphing between human form and a skull creature. The mixture of fiction and non-fiction was very fear creating.

Shadow of Rome. Great setting. Great combat. Tough as nails. I fully completed the game.

It's not that I'm still waiting for a sequel, but I kinda am. ****, I'd be okay with them putting it on PSN classics. But they don't, because they love eating babies for a living.

Also, Freedom Fighters. Improved third person mechanics. More freedom in what do to, objective-wise. Freedom Fighters was quite cool in this aspect. And destructibility.

It's heartwarming to know someone else appreciated this gem.

And I'm glad to find out I'm not the only one.

Sigh... these thread always make me remember how many great games have been lost over the years.

Age of Empires: millions of gamers enjoyed it, it made Microsoft lots of money... why was this series killed off again?

Jedi Knight: the humble bundle made me miss this series again. So badass you could play as a Jedi Knight. Made by the awesome Raven Software who was also killed off (no, they are actually working on COD DLC, please do the human thing and put them out of their misery)

Ryse: Yeah, quite an odd choice since I could be listing dozens of old games/series. But I think a sequel has lots of potential and I'm always interested in a historical setting like this.

Parasite Eve trilogy redone with the Luminous Engine and the game gives you the ability to pick which fighting system you want. I'd pick the first one, but many people claim to like the second ones fighting system.

Yeah... I meant a good one. I refuse to believe a game revolving around a super fast character can't be translated into a good platformer.

I would LOVE to see a working form of Advent Rising. I tried to play that game but it was too wonky but it looked like a Mass Effect game before Mass Effect was around. Heard it was a great original IP but the bugs were all over the place. There was one that prohibited you from continuing the game.....I mean, shit, really?

Mega Man Legends.

On the Wii U I'd like to see a new Metroid game. I'd also like to see Fatal Frame make a return to being published outside Japan, they're already two games behind (maybe 3 if you count Crimson Butterfly Wii remake didn't make it to North America, but did for Europe and Australia). I'd also like to see Metroid Zero Mission make a return on the GBA VC section of the Wii U eShop, Japan got it already and it's coming on a year and they still haven't released it elsewhere. And also, since Nintendo has (or once had) rights to Tetsriphere, I'd love to see a modern HD remake of the game, or a proper sequel.

On 3DS I'd like to see the Persona games make a return at some future point, the various SMT games on DS/3DS like Devil Survivor games (plus the Overclocked & Record Breaker remakes), Soul Hackers, SMT4, Strange Journey, it's all great and all, but Persona Q is the best of them. I'd like more.

On PS4 I'd like to see a return of the Motorstorm games. Evolution did a fantastic job on the visuals and adverse weather conditions in DriveClub, it really eats at me wondering how awesome a next gen Motorstorm game would look if they put that same level of effort into it. I doubt this will happen though, DriveClub seems to have done well enough that they'll probably make sequels before they revisit Motorstorm (if ever).

Link to the Past sequel (using original engine just making a new game that looks like that one i don't like the 3d crap graphics the link to the mast new one had looked horrid)

DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 (just like remaster this game an put it out on all systems and then make a naruto game thats like it too)

Condemned. The original remains my favorite horror title to date, and the sequel wasn't bad (wasn't that good either, but it thankfully didn't bastardize the series). I'd love to see where a third game could take Ethan, especially with new hardware and the way Bloodshot left off.

Psi Ops. There isn't much to say about this one, other than that original is both one of the most unique, and one of the most underrated shooters I've ever played, and I don't think there's any denying that it's been begging for a continuation for quite some time now.

Crimson Skies. I never thought I'd really enjoy a flight based arcade shooter, but this game proved me wrong. It isn't just incredibly competent, it's a classic. The setting evokes wisps of nostalgia even now, and the gameplay has aged beautifully. A sequel is a MUST, and seeing as Microsoft owns the rights as far as I know, a Crimson Skies 2 would be an excellent ball-out-of-left-field bolster to their exclusive lineup.

Heavenly Sword. I don't know if I'm alone, but this game seriously impacted me. Like the kind of impact most seem to get from Half Life (to be fair, Half Life 2 is one of my all time favorites, though I'm not overly keen on the idea of HL3 at this point). I realize that comparison is apples and oranges, but the principle feeling of awe this game left me with upon completion remains unchanged even to this day. This was an immaculately composed masterpiece. Simple yet satisfying in the gameplay department, with an absolutely wonderful setting and characters used as the super glue that somehow crafted it into something almost exponentially more than the sum of it's parts -- at least for me. A sequel is needed.

The Conflict series. Not the first person one they last made that bored me to tears but the original 3rd person, 4 player coop ones. Till this day I have never had that much fun playing a coop game. I would take a rehash or another one in the series built with the originals heart.
