For me, I think Black Ops 2, Borderlands 2, Lolipop Chainsaw and South Park The Game all look good.

Well if everything works as planned:
1)Bioshock Infinite
2)Risen 2
3)Guild Wars 2(having played the Beta, it's safe to say it will)
4)Hitman: Absolution
5)Max Payne 3
others i'm anticipating/enjoying:
Diablo 3
Tomb Raider
Twisted Metal
Rayman Origins
Borderlands 2
The Last of Us
etc.
Prey 2 used to be Number 2, but idk what will happen now
I don't know. Call me up when 2012 is over and I can recap the games I've played. :PShadowDeathXnothing announced for 2012 worth a **** besides halo 4 for single player halo's always been a loser non competitive multiplayer game.
i played halo since 2001 and people who completely suck in halo will get lucky and kill me lmao this **** definitely isnt a skill based competitive shooter.
Diablo III most likely.
if GTA V releases this year, then it would be that. But I'm not getting my hopes up.

There are a ton of games being released, but I'm not going to pick favs. based on publisher/developer released hype material.[QUOTE="ShadowDeathX"]I don't know. Prey 2 seemed really cool with a distinct space noir tone and interesting ideas. But then Zenimax had to be ****oles and canceled it apparently. :(
If that's true then hopefully it'll get resurrected under a different name, like Sleeping Dogs. Not expecting miracles from it, but there were parts of games like Streets of LA and Wheelman that were really entertaining. And that's the appeal of this game for me. Looks like fun.
Hopefully Zenimax won't cancel Dishonored. Games like this rarely get to have a budget these days. Basically it's some kind of Deus Exish Thief Geist+ in steampunk Half-Life 2 land.
Depending on how well IO manages to retain the core appeal of its predecessors, I'm excited about Hitman Absolution for the same reason. Hitman was all about surveying your surroundings, experimenting and finding different ways of achieving your goal. That sense of exploration and experimentation, poking and prodding at a simulation, is something I find highly appealing. The Hitman games have also had some pretty great levels and scenarios to play around in.
Steel Battalion. Fistbump.
Oh and Grand Theft Auto V. Always end up messing around in these things a lot.
Big fan of the first two, but perhaps a great part of the reason was the distinct quality Remedy brought to them. I'll buy it and I'm sure it will be good, but will see if I like Max Payne 3 as much as the originals.
SRW 2nd OG
Skullgirls
Pokemon B/W 2
If the GGXXAC+ rerelease comes out this year, it'll be that without question.
same as last year and the year before: Red Dead Redemption.
Max Payne 3, if you want to only count games released this year.
Forza Horison has potential, being made by former Black Rock and Bizarre people, so in theory it could be the best racing game ever. but at this point I don't really know what that game is. That video makes the concept look like a Need for Speed ProStreet kind of thing.
Hope the Forza brand won't end up restricting them.
I think Assassin's Creed 3 will be my favorite game of 2012.
I really loved the Boston/NY revolutionary war setting, and apparently Assassin's Creed of remaking historical locations well. The fact that it's going to take place between 1753-178? is also nice, because it means we might see events like the Boston Tea Party, Paul Revere's midnight ride, the Battle of North Bridge and such happen throughout the game.
I tried the Revelations multiplayer beta and I actually kind of liked it. It was very rewarding to quietly and efficiently stalk your target to land the final blow. If there is Multiplayer, I'm sure it will make a nice bonus and perhaps even extend the longevity of the game.
