What December game(s) are you most looking forward to?

Only one more month left in the year! Surely there are some good games left to come out? The only one I’m interested in trying is Resident Evil 4 Remake in VR! PSVR 2 that is. What about you, SW? What December game(s) are you most looking forward to?

Literally nothing. Sadly it's the month where you still have to spend money on sodding Christmas.

Wow December is complete dogwater month. Good. BG3 has permanently slowed down my life, and i have too many other games to play after, plus ER dlc soon.

Rumours are that the Xbox Series X version of Baldur’s Gate 3 will be releasing in December, probably dropped on the VGA’s. Will definitely be grabbing that.

Mostly I'll be spending money on Steam Autumn & Winter sales for the most parts but to be frank, there's nothing I really want or need as I've bought a bunch of games this year and even last year's Steam Winter sales. Not to mention, I purchase a new GPU so basically, I spend a but load of cash this year.

As for new releases, I am interested checking out Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora as I do like the films and I'm also a huge fan of Spy X Family so I'm eying on Spy X Anya as well.

Nothing, I'll probably still be finishing Super Mario RPG. Then I'll start Cocoon.

I’ll wait to see how Avatar turns out.

Am also interested in Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising and seeing how Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora turns out.

Dragon Quest Monsters has most of my interest.

Nothing in Dec for me have enough on my plate at the moment.

Arkham Trilogy; without a doubt. It's been a long time since I played Arkham Asylum, so I'm looking forward to it.

Forget Starfield, Jedi Survivor, Armored Core 6, Baldur's Gate III, etc. This game has been, right from the beginning, my most anticipated game of 2023. A Warhammer 40,000 CRPG - made by Owlcat, the second biggest name in CRPG after Larian, no less. Plus it's based on the Rogue Trader TTG; imagine edgy Star Trek with a bit of piracy thrown in. Can't wait.

Then there's that Far Cry game with blue cat people, I guess. Zero expectations it will be any different from the standard Ubisoft fare, but I guess the visuals look nice, and that might be enough to throw in the sale bin.

Blood West and Dusk HD when it comes to smaller games in a genre that I love so much.

And Avatar I think is gonna be a sweet open world romp.

Blood West is coming out of EA in December? Awesome if so, I'll get it when it does. A streamer I watch quite often who plays Hunt: Showdown is one of the voice actors. Pretty funny.

Dusk HD I don't see the point with. The graphics were charming and fit the kind of game it was. Cool for those who care though.

Dusk HD could feel like the Half Life HD models, I can certainly see the original having more charm.

But for me it was always a game that wasn't quite there. I think the new weapon an enemy models look fantastic, in fact I had to stop watching the comparison video. As I didn't want to get spoiled on the many many enemy models.

I don't know if I really plan to play any of these but Avatar might be interesting when it's $15 one day.

None of these games look all that interesting tbh. Disney Dreamlight Valley looks the most interesting to me, but I don't know if I really want to buy it tbh.

Sonic Dream team looks good, but not on a platform I own.

Nothing really. I will just play a bunch of games on Gamepass.

Interested to see how the Arkham Trilogy turns out on the switch. Asylum and City SHOULD work just fine, assuming the developer doing the port hasn't made a complete hash of it.

Knight will be interesting though. It was a looker on the PS4 and X1 at launch and remains quite a good looking game. I don't think there was a PS3 or 360 version. Obviously there will be cuts to the visuals compared to the PS4 version but it will still be interesting to see how much the porting house squeezes out of the switch.

And on a related note: At 4K with MSAA, Arkham City is still a nice looking game today. A lot to be said for just brute forcing old tech sometimes (Rocksteadys Art team being on top of their game also doesn't hurt at all).

Anywho in terms of games to buy: Nothing there really interests me. Plenty of games on the backlog though. No trouble on the games to play front. Coming to the tail end of CP2077 now and then it's onto Spiderman.

Luckily not a thing. The last few months have been loaded with quality games.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

A lot of great games are releasing in 2024. I have personally selected 10+ games of which I intend to buy 4-5 next year.

But judging from this post, it seems most won't buy much next year.

Cummon guys we need to support the gaming industry or it will crash. Stop relying on GamePass as won't exist if we won't buy AAA games soon after release.
