CLOSED

So RPGS were a force to be reckoned with last gen as there were plenty of good ones in all categories almost.

Now last gen applies to PC2005-2013, Xbox 360. PS3, Wii. DS, PSP. Winners go to next round

So what you do is simple:

LIST YOUR TOP 5 RPGS of last gen on any of the above. Eahc will have a score like this:

1st gets 50 points

2nd gets 40 points

3rd gets 30 points

4th gets 20 points

5th gets 10 points.

HOWEVER, there is no must have limit. If you can only list one, 2, 3, or 4 those will count. As long as they are in the next gen guidelines. This is ANY rpg.

Just don't play it for the gameplay, it's mediocre at best. The dialogue choices are where it's at, I can't think of many other games where your choices actually have serious consequences. Way better at it than the Mass Effect series. It's also very funny and has one of my favorite boss fights of the gen.

Yah, I've played a little and I love the dialogue system. The shooting stuff is confusing, particularly with the whole deal about how you have to train the weapons on the targets to be effective. Not very intuitive.

I knew you would like it since it's so much like FFXII, which was also a killer JRPG.

FFXII is definitely better in terms of story, at least from what I've seen so far. For battle system though Xenoblade might actually be a little better.

I totally agree with this. Xenoblade's story moves faster and has more twists and what not, but FFXII's story is higher quality and has much better writing and ideas (and characters). That being said, I definitely have to go with Xenoblade in terms of the battle system, environments, and exploration. I feel like they made the battle system a little bit more elegant and intuitive than Square-Enix did with FFXII. I love the Monado's ability to tell you what's going to happen in battle.

Titan Quest was really fun. If I had enough free time to want to play an ARPG I definitely would've beaten it more than once.
