Vita or 3DS - who has the best holiday lineup?

Both are really weak imo. But luckily I still have a bunch to games to finish on both. I really, really hope that the 2015 lineup of both are better.

Most of the games I play on Vita these days are PS2 remakes...

Super Smash Bros 3DS takes a colossal dump over the Vita's Holiday line-up combined.

Seriously how is this a competition. Pokemon is one of, if not the biggest franchise in handheld gaming. The other is Smash bros. A game series that is the sole most people owned a gamecube or a wii.

Persona Q is reason enough for me to say 3DS.

It's funny, because that's like the only Vita game that actually has a chance of making a splash at retail, and you forgot all about it lol.

Sales is just one of the things pokemon does well. Pokemon and smash are the reason I bought a 3DS. You're poll proves this. Your thread is shit just like they always are and you should feel bad.

It's a tie for me. Both look good, not great. Will be picking up a few games on both sides.

Regardless, Nintendo could take a crap in a box, slap "3DS" on it and it would still sell more than Vita's lineup combined.

It's a tie. Both those lineups are crap.

3ds uses: Smash, Fantasy life and Pokemon.

The 3DS lineup is a step down from last year, but Super Smash Bros., Pokemon, and Persona are in no way 'crap.'

Smash Bros is probably the only decent game between the two systems and if I had a Wii-U, I'd be buying it for that.

PSV is dead. I'll be buying The Walking Dead Season 2 for it and then it's a glorified accessory. The 3DS in the home is my 7 year old daughter's. She will probably get the Disney Frozen Olaf game for Christmas.

This is probably the one time that loVita doesn't win.

Thats basically my list. I would have gotten Freedom wars and Tales of heart but lack of dub for dialog heavy games=skip. Seems like a half hearted attempt at bringing it over. If oreshika doesint come over then its a tie for me.

Overall, probably the 3ds, but I'll probably still be playing borderlands and a bunch of indies on vita through the holidays. I like my 3ds but for some reason I almost never play it. Zelda spoiled me last year.

How do you like Borderlands? I've been playing it recently and think it's alright. Definitely playable and great for on the go.

@SolidGame_basic: I actually think it's easily the worst platform to play borderlands on by a long shot. The gunplay is ok, despite the deficiencies in the control scheme, namely the back touch screen nonsense and up close combat is nearly broken outside mele... bullets travel through freaks without a scratch when they're within arms reach...

BUT....

it all grows on you well and upon accepting you are playing a slightly off version of Borderlands, you can't deny that the mission/loot formula shines as bright as its big brother counterparts... as you said... fantastic game to have on the go. Makes me have new respect for the game that it can be rough around the edges gameplay wise and still be as wonderfully addicting as it is.

Surprised there is a thread even comparing the two.

Yea, it's a weird thing. Seeing how flawed the game is yet still enjoying it. It's kind of a recurring theme with Vita ports lol.

Tough one. I think the Vita has more games I'm interested in, but the 3DS has Persona Q. So yeah, 3DS just for Persona Q.

Sony needs to fire the person in charge at the vita department. If most people outside of Japan understood the Japanese language, the Vita would be selling as good if not better(maybe lol) than 3ds.

They are both friggin terrible. I'll take 3DS just because the games are higher production value but the line ups are weak. Honestly, we just need one handheld on the market. 2 just segments all the damn games. If you put both those line ups together it would be pretty decent.

Vita has several titles on that list I'm interested in or know I'm buying, but none of them appeal to me as much as the Persona Etrian Odyssey like game. IDC about remade pokemon games and see no appeal to Smash on a handheld.
