Vita exclusive SAO: Hollow Fragment sells 450K ww

Granted, most of it is from Japan & Asia, but me thinks we'll get another game from this series in NA. There is already a Sword Art Online: Lost Song being developed for PS3 & Vita for Japan. No word on a NA release. Your thoughts, SW? Did you get to play this game? I hope to at some point, when it's dirt cheap lol.

Hollow Fragment sold a total of 450,000 units worldwide. In Japan, sales were about 280,000. In Asia, 90,000. And in North America, the game sold about 70,000 units

I've heard it's incredibly shitty and skipped it so far

the anime this is based on seemed kind of dumb (outside the fighting) so I didn't really give the game a second thought

**** anime. Especially Sword Art Online. I'd rather play Borderlands 2 on Vita than to even have that near me.

Sword Art Online will always be a piece of shit and this game won't be any different.

Sword Art Online was a great anime... but only the first and third arcs.

The second and fourth arcs were pretty bad (so far, since I stopped watching the fourth arc).

Not sure about this game though. Licensed games usually aren't that good.

I got the game. Not sure what possessed me to do so, but I did.

It's... okay. Not great, but not bad. What was terrible though was the shitfest translation. If you could even call it that.

As for SAO opinion in general? The anime sucks. The original novels are enjoyable.

In that case, Kirito does sometimes come across as a bit of a "Jesus Yamato" at times in the SAO online game within the anime, but this is contrasted by the actual person behind the character being a somewhat pathetic loser in the real world.

Also, much of the hate towards SAO mainly comes from the second arc, which almost completely ruined the anime after a great first arc. The third arc recovers, but then the fourth arc kind of ruins it again.

I enjoyed the series so I'd like to give the game a try one day.

Waiting till it gets under $20, it seems okay but nothing amazing gameplay wise. Good amount of content in it though (50-100 hours).

He's pretty much a typical overpowered Mary Sue anime character. There's nothing likable about him. Also, Guts from Berserk called and he wants his title back.

I bought it when it was on sale but have yet to play it.. busy with Tales of Hearts and Destiny

The Anime is indeed dumb and terrible.

It has way too much lovey-dovey shit for my taste, but I always thought it would be a nice setting for a game like this.
