Take a game like the Super Mario Bros. for example. All he does it jump on deformed peoples' heads and kill them for being manipulated by a turle rhino hitler Plus, Peach is captured in every single game and is incapable of doing anything on her own. Mario is tasked with saving her. This is sexism at its very core, as it shows that women are helpless and must be saved by the white knight (in this case Italian knight since some racists don't think Italians deserve to be called white, so I am being politically correct (I don't share such sentiments)).
Now, let me highlight the fact that I am pointing towards gaming's most iconic figure, so for this comparison to be devoid of bias, I should also do so for TV shows. System Wars falls into many logical fallacies, and confirmation bias is one of them. For example, they will say that 2012 was the most disappointing year in gaming while choosing to ignore the surprises and refusing to acknowledge prior years have very much the same cases. But I disgress...
Tom and Jerry is, like Mario, the founders of its respective medium. Here we see Tom pursue dangerous activities in an attempt to murder an innocent life. Jerry seems like an underdog in the sense that he is smaller and is known for getting beat up on cats (he is a mouse). However, Jerry is a morally sound person and is able to conquer the violence of Tom and find humor in everyday situations, despite him being at odd's end. Jerry at times also encounters a love interest that equally help to thwart the cat and finds other cats who aren't hostile and very friendly. This displays equally and that not all people of a certain group are bad.
This is why the older generations do not like video games while their parents did not mind them watching TV.
