Video games becoming too kid-friendly?

It´s me or really older games were scarier and darker? Not only look and graphics but score too. I feel that modern shooters and action games are bright and colorful but older games were harder, darker and music was creepy. SAME THING HAPPENS WITH MOVIE. LOOK LAST TOTAL RECALL REMAKE AND YOU SEE.

Dark video games are brighter, music is no more creepy, most games has regain health, more colors, auto-aim and less blood. It´s like rated R movies are now all PG-13 movies. Same thing is happening with video games.

Like most, I started gaming when I was a kid so ya know, just sayin. :P

Well, yeah, if you look at games made with children in mind like GTA4, and some of those other crappy kiddy shooters you showed. Why not look at the hardcore games for adults, instead?

Blood and sexual content doesn't make a game less casual friendly and mature . Complex gameplay does .
