Unreal Tourney 3 on PS3 or 360?

I was thinking PS3 because of the mods. I was also wondering if more people would play it on the PS3 or 360. I don't have a powerful enough computer for the pc version.

I'll be honest about UT3. There aren't a whole bunch of people playing so it takes more patience than COD4 to get a good game going if it's not deathmatch of capture the flag. But it's awesome and with the mod support it's a game that you will be able to come back to again and again for a very long time.

I got it when it first came out and played for a few weeks, then took a break for a few months and went to COD4. Now I'm getting kind've tired of COD4 but with the new mods I downloaded for UT3 its like playing a new game all over again. I love the jetpack mod, the new maps they released are great, and the lego map mod is super fun.

How much of an online community will there be on the PS3 compared to the 360 when its released? If you want mods though then get the PS3 version (or better yet PC).

PS3 for mods, there's ALOT of people playing it on the PS3 now.

When it comes out on the 360 it'll have to compete with other shooters that come out at the same time, and all the other big hitters already out liek R6V2, CoD4 and Halo 3.

i say go for the ps3 one because of the mods, but if most of your friends have a 360 and are gonna buy the game....then wait and get it on the 360...bluewrxman

Get now for PS3.

Its got mods and dedicated servers,you can also choose to install to the HDD for faster loading.

Ummm...that's not the problem. Not many have microphones. Also, it's not like UT3 on PS3 is a booming online community either.

I guess it goes like this: Mods for PS3 or better, bigger online experience for 360. Both have their merits.

Besides, the Mods is another factor, as PC/PS3 offer them for sure, whereas the 360 most likely won't.

Assuming the 360 does, it is still a question of, "Now or Later?"

I would say get it for the PC, but the PC community for the game is pretty much dead. I guess they didn't take kindly to the comments Epic made (as well as the bugs, shoddy user interface, visually ugly graphics, and average gameplay).

No, that WAS the problem.

But yea...there's a cultural difference between the PS3 online gamers and Live online gamers.

PSN has suffered because of the non-standardized bluetooth solution, early games that didn't support voicechat, games that have gone long periods of time with broken voicechat (Motorstorm, UT3) and future big-hitter games that won't support voicechat (Prologue).

Those things have shaped PSN online...and have caused it to be a markedly less social experience.

That's not true. I play team tactical on COD4 and it's quite rare that people aren't using a mic on PS3. I'd say 80-90% of the time people are on mics on my team. Deathmatch games seem to be differnt. I don't get mics on UT3 much because I don't think a lot of people realize it's working also deathmatch is the most popular game on UT3 so no real reason to use a mic.
