Twisted Metal and God of War creator teases new game (PS4)

David Jaffe the creator of Twisted Metal and God of War is teasing something for PlayStation experience event next month and tweeted that the new title will be an Action game.

getting sick of announcement/hints of announcements from Sony related games. That hint of a game with the bloody snowflakes for Gamescom, only to turn out to be Until Dawn was terrible

this game will come out when ps4 costs around 250 an at that point i might buy a ps4

Jaffe is a crazy guy, which is why I'm a fan. It's nice to see that he's back to making bigger games. He's provided 2 iconic Sony IPs, we might be getting another. From gaf:

Gamespot, financially, or critically? (Or all three?)

I remember hearing the game did poorly commercially, but we all know it was a critical flop. Especially coming from Black.

I didn't pay much attention to Twisted Metal, even back in it's prime. So I never heard much on how the new one did. Guess it was bad all around.

I like Jaffe, but I haven't cared for his work in a looooooooong time.... like Twisted Metal Black. It's been a while lol.

Maybe its an action game just in a horror like setting.

WHY?????? I FUCKING LOVE HORROR GAMES. They actually make you feel a certain way. I remember I played silent hill 2 as a kid under the covers screaming for my mommy lol.

The reason the last Twisted Metal game sucked was because it launced with shit online, and Jaffe dropped like half of the cast from Black. He's been on a cold streak for a while.

PS All Star and Twister Metal are 2 great examples of what happen you hear the loud minority.

It was a decent game mechanically, it's just that they didn't even try on the story mode. The old twisted metals, especially Black had great stories and the new one literally had no story.

The online was fun, but the genre is alien to most gamers today. Especially considering no one has really done car combat for like over a decade. The closest I guess is Mario Kart but even that series has moved away from combat and more towards racing. They even removed the vs mode.

sounds good to me even though I was disappointed with Twisted Metal, I'm still going to follow this game,

He left Sony to create Eat Sleep Play, made Calling all Cars, made that awful Twisted Metal reboot Cows pretended they wanted, that was broken for months on day one despite having a beta.

Then he shortly left Eat Sleep Play (the studio he left Sony to create, specifically to make that game) and they went iOS-only.

HOLY SHIT!!! I DONT CARE!! Seriously? I never cared for Twisted Metal, but love God of War, so I am interested.
