PS4 runs around 60 with drops in the 40s in the more heavier sections - x1 runs around 30 with spikes when nothing is happening. Also PC is the worst version

I hope this isn't like Battlefield 4 where critics just with a placebo statement and then had the rug pulled from under them.

Anyway, I'll be picking up my copy on XB1 next week. Might be a rip-off but it's one of my favs from last gen so it's worth it to me.

xbox is 45 fps with lo action and 35 higher action. ps4 dips to 50pretty much its 10-15fps difference.

PS4 is mainly 60 fps dips to 50 with heavy action.

Xbox one is mostly 30 dips above with no action points and below to 20 sometimes with heavy action.

Bu bu but lems said that it would a locked 30fps on the Xbone while PS4 frequently stuttered!

Xboner Tomb raider should downgrade to 720p for smoothness. Its struggling at 1080p on a last gen game with a bit og graphic enhancement. Fps Dipping it low like a fat lady shaking her butt on the floor.

I would not be surprised if the Xflop version dips below 30fps. Can't wait to see 343i plans to pull a 60fps Halo out of their ass. Will definitely be 720p which is a joke.

No native 1080p was the right decision for this game. It was always meant to be graphics showcase. ACIV on PS4 runs great at a locked 30fps. The fact that PS4 is hitting 60fps is just an added bonus of having superior hardware.

I wish I was too, but can't just spending $60 on this when I bought the CE for PS3. I'll get it when it hits $40.

Any one who saw the character model changes knows that this version of the game is crap. Cross eyed Lara isn't worth $60 to me. I will stick the the PC version @ 1440p and 60 fps locked thanks.

I don't understand the fascination with FPS. I would rather have an amazing looking game locked at 30FPS than an average looking game at 60FPS with frame dips.

I hope you have something very powerful because on a 7970 you will not get that max out...

It was quite clear in the video that wind barely move trees on the PC version vs the console version,but that is not the PC version fault it was CD on one.

The video comparison was done vs the xbox one version, not the PS4,so hardly they are sony shills.

And you can clearly see the console version has more things moving going on,and even the image quality was there with PC,rip your eyes out if you didn't see the difference.

We all know this version done properly on PC will kick consoles ass,but that video there do show irrefutable facts the console version has more things going on and feels more alive,this is not because the consoles are more powerful is because CD probably put more effort into the console version,maybe the dead line for PC didn't allow for it,and i am sure is nothing they can't fix with a quick patch.

The videos didn't work for me. So all that I saw was gifs, which is a stupid way to do a graphics comparison. Especially coming from a game journalism site.

Anyway, they said they could launch the definitive version on PC as well, if there was enough interest for it. But I doubt there is, as the difference is so minimal and PC gamers have been enjoying this game maxed out for almost a year. I doubt trees moving and a better skybox is worth having a new version.

Having said that, however. I think this version is great for people that haven't played it yet and want something to play on their PS4 or Xbone.

@hrt_rulz01: Agreed. It is unfair to have the original PC version compared with the rebuilt next gen versions.

I'll also be buying TR but on PS4 and only after a price drop. I still have the original copy and considered it just shy of GOTY. Had The Last of Us not released last year, TR would have taken it easily for me.

The added benefit of the PS4 version such as remote play with the PSV justify the rebuy for me.

I picked up the ps4 version last night and it looks amazing. The subtle facial expressions during gameplay look insane on Laura's model. Never really played the other versions but it looks amazing on PS4.
