[QUOTE="Sali217"][QUOTE="RogueStatus28"]Microsoft is Microsoft, they could buy Sony and Nintendo if they wanted tojimmypsnNot they couldn't, for a myriad of reasons. One of the biggest being that the Japanese government wouldn't allow it. Sony may see a government bailout at some point, similar to american automotive manufactures. No MS could buy Sony and Nintendo but would get slapped with monopolistic fines. Every lemming knows MS could end Sony and Nintendo with one signature on a sheet of paper. People don't understand how big of a company sony actually is, Their liquid cash is low and their debt high, but their assets are huge. Sony actually makes more money yearly than Microsoft, the problem is the also spend considerably more money than Microsoft. So their profit margins are much lower. Consider this though, In order for Microsoft to completely buy out Sony they'd have to buy, Sony Corp. (Audio, Computing, Photography, Video, Semiconductor and component, and Medical-related business.), Sony Mobile Communications (Phones and tablets), Sony Computer Entertainment (This is where Playstation is.), Sony Pictures Entertainment (Movies.), Sony Music Entertainment (Record company, and also a music publishing company.), Sony also has a Financial holdings company. As well as a slew of important trade marks. It would take an incredible amount of money to buy all of Sony's assets, I doubt even Apple or Exxonmobile could do it, let alone Microsoft.
