Um, Tri is not the same as the PSP game.
I thought they were making a PSP version of the game?:? Isn't it called Monster Hunter Portable 3rd? Either way the PSP onwers are getting another MH game.
Yep a "sort of MMO" version is on PC, exclusive to parts of Asia (I think) And a 360 version of the same game has been confirmed for a US/Europe release.
I hear it;s a pretty good game too.

Why no love for the PS3?
Hard to develop for like saturn so most devs that make good games are sony who know it inside and out... Which was the reason I went Wii this gen instead of 360 or PS3 because more devs can work for it with lower costs
The new PSP game will be Monster Hunter Freedom 3. So, it's the third iteration in the portable series. The 360 version will be a port of a relatively old PC online-only game (Monster Hunter Frontier) which was previously released only in Japan and Korea. Whether or not Frontier will see a Western release remains to be seen.
It's a nice multiplatform strategy, albeit a little confusing.

Looking to get a foothold on the American market, the 360 is the most popular console in the US/UK and it;s easier to port the game to 360, and make use of the template MS has for Xbox Live.

no its not.. MH3 is Wii exclusive.. MHP3 is comming to PSP.. unlike the previous games the games are different (MHP3 is japanese themed and MH3 has underwater battles for example)
Capcom told it was expensive to do the game for PS3 and also because they wanted to work with Wii Remote & Nunchuck so the game would have an acessible control scheme.

But, here's the thing for me. I don't see a reason on why I would want the Monster Hunter Frontier on 360 and pay to play online while I will soon have MH3 on Wii and I'm still playing MHFU on psp, also with the new psp MH game coming out I should be able to transfer my character. I love you Sony for making AD Hoc Party on psn.

alot of those monsters were nothing but re-skins though.

Alot, not all. Plus UNITE brought alot more monster aswell.
