On the PC
I was planning on getting this game one the One but now I'm not sure. If I am going to buy a multiplatform game it might as well be the Definitive Edition of it.

Honestly, there is not going to much of a difference between all 3 versions besides the resolution. The game doesn't look good no matter what platform its played on.
@Snugenz: That compressed 30fps video ain't doing the game any justice. Don't get me wrong TF ain't no Metro or Battlefield in the graphics department.
I doubt it considering how meh it looks even at 4K...
The gameplay looks fun enough though.
Wow, a horribly artifacted youtube video... point proven !
There are artifacts and 30fps limits to youtube vids obviously, but you can make an educated assumption on what those images could look like without said artifacts and low framerate, in other words, stick your sarcasm up your ass ;).
Not really, I mean there's a lot going on on the screen and it makes for a very cool hectic environment and I love that but the graphics are very very dated.

No, 'you can make an educated assumption' is not a way to do a graphics comparison right.
I don't need to look at a terribly artifacted youtube video to know how the game looks, the game looks much better running on my PC than it does in that video.
Played it on the X1, and for the most part it looks fine on that, but the frame rate did drop when there was lots of things going on screen. And while the game is fun, if I did have the game I doubt I would play it for more than a week. Will play the PC version later. And yes the game does look bad compared to other modern shooters, but I'm not a graphics whore, so that really doesn't bother me. If you dont have the beta, and want to play it, ask EA to give you a code, or add the game to your origin account.

It's gonna look better, but much better is hyperbole. I can look at that 4k Titanfall vid with it's entirely meh assets and come to the conclusion that it's assets will still look meh without the artifacts, because that's been the case with every other vid on Youtube compared to games running natively on my machine.
You give the difference between uncompressed and youtube compression too much weight, uncompressed absolutely looks better but not so much better than you can't make an informed assumption from a Youtube vid.
The drab color palette and uninspired design definitely don't do the already dated visuals any favors.
It's an incredibly average looking game.
I played it for a few hours before I hit the hay last night/this morning and TBH it wasnt really that great. Better than i expected, but still not great. If it was free2play id probably play it a little but its definitely not a game id buy.
A few things that bothered me where: The lock-on pistol? -Why? Wall running was so easy to do that it became annoying as your character just sticks to the nearest wall you happen to jump next to. The AI is absolutely abysmal, to me it seems like the AI players where placed in as fodder for people playing on a controller. They just stand there half the time and dont even fire back.
Im more into the hardcore arena shooters and FPS shooters that take a bit more skill to play and this game just didnt seem like that type of game to me. Maybe I would change my mind after I played it more but I wasnt feeling impressed in the time I spent on it and I didnt experience anything close to what the gaming media hype this game up to be.
