Titanfall is on 3 platforms so no. But I can see Infamous outselling Titanfall on Xbone though.

Why do people act like exclusives are all console owners buy? I know a lot of you have no friends and thus don't know people buy games irregardless of their exclusivity but, jeez have some common sense mane.

What imaginary world do you live in where Infamous is considered a selling title? I think it might outsell X1 (maybe) version because of the delays and that it's the only real big game for awhile. But not because it's a must buy.

Not sure where I said it was a selling title....hmmm, maybe you are in the imaginary world. All I said is it will be a must buy for many PS4 gamers because it will be the first PS4 exclusive worth anything. Killzone sucked as did Knack. Infamous will probably be an AAE with about an 83-86% on Metacritic.

Again, if you are comparing JUST the Titanfall edition on XBO compared to infamous, then infamous may sell more, but overall it won't be close if comparing titan fall with the 360, pc and xbo sales.

My post wasn't kneejerk.

And the fact that you admit that Xbox one's list of up coming games is also a wasteland, for the context of my thread, and the fact that i am talking about two games specifically on the PS4 and xbox one, your comment about the PS4 made no sense.

If you would think before you posted, you would realize your comment made no sense and had no place in this thread.

Both consoles are looking at a whole lotta nothin' in the near future. If one owned a PS4, given how FEW GAMES are available and how FEW GAMES are on the way, it would make sense that they would want to buy a lot of Infamous.

When there is so little to look forward to, one must be satisfied with what is available. The Xbox One has the advantage of Titanfall, which is, a significant one.

lol, what you just said makes ABSOLUTELY no sense LMAO. Looks like it's time to simulate another one of your mental gymnastic tactics to show you how it works...

SMH, You tried again, did you expect better results this time? You had no argument from the very beginning. Maybe you are relying on fanboy arguments to back up your logic but I can disprove that with facts, your post was fail from the minute you made it in the context of this thread, so just stop now and leave with a few shreds of dignity.

What facts did you cite?

Both consoles leave owners with next to nothing to look forward to. That's true for both consoles. Both of them, neither one have many games coming.

At least the Xbox One has the critically acclaimed (that's a fact, no doubting it) Titanfall, which is a multiplayer shooter (also, a fact that you cannot dispute), that will likely have longer legs than a game with a 10-12 hour campaign that has no multiplayer. Infamous also hasn't been reviewed yet, so we don't know if it'll reach the same critical acclaim as Titanfall. One thing is for sure, though, fans of the game here at GS only hyped it AA, which is safe and boring.

Infamous: Second Son isn't much of a significant advantage. The series hasn't ever been a AAA series, it's always been just good. Not exactly a Titanfall-level blockbuster.

You're welcome to try on some facts of your own. So far, pretty bad attempts.....

Yes, that was the argument lems used...

I had a PS3 .... played Infamous 1.... there was nothing to do, it was on the same calibur as Prototype ... only with some nicer comnic like cutscenes.... the choices were god awful black n white... and about 3-4 of them in the entire game....

People seem to think that scores are the main indicator here... when games like perfect dark, infamous and resistance 2 score 9 (despite R2 being an utter mess of an experience) that the games are standing the test of time.

So yes, if you want to ignore Titanfall as a franchise, not just the xbox one version, then yes Im sure the 6 million console exclusive will outsell the 4 million console this early into the gen with little choice in games.

Doesn't stop the no-doubt reality that Titanfall is a far bigger deal to the industry as a whole than infamous: second son will be.... ANSWER ME... can you deny this obvious reality?

I think Titanfall will have a higher attach rate, but it will fall far below Infamous when comparing sales between the two.

Also this thread is stupid because Titanfall sales combined on all platforms will demolish everything in total sales. EDIT: by everything I mean games released this year.

Well, it's like Killzone Shadowfall.

That sold better than previous Killzone games. Not because it was any good, but because of hype surrounding it as a launch title.

Infamous is getting a similar type of hype being that it's the only big PS4 exclusive from now until...........who even knows when. Whether it's good or bad, it should still sell well I imagine.

#60 Posted by spicymeatball27 (64 posts) -

Seeing as infamous 2 sold god awful & no one cared about it i would say No. No where near a system seller. If it came out on ps3 it would of been overlooked as well lol seeing as infamous has never been a triple A title to begin with. Seeing as theres nothing to play on ps4 besides god awful knack & borezone 4 that was traded in at gamestop probably as much as that hannah monatana game that everyone got just for the trophys lol. It probably well sell on owners who won ps4 but newbies will not since its not a system seller in the ps3 era unless its uncharted but thats in late 2015 so long time to wait.

exactly. It has the benefit of releasing on a new console that has no exclusives worth anything.

I would hope so.. being the install base of the PS4 is larger then the X1's and there isn;t much else coming out or out on the PS4 worth playing at the moment.

pre-damage control?

Lems said Titanfall would bury the PS4 and all it's games because everybody was supposed to want an xbox one to play Titanfall. lol, If people buy PS4's to play Infamous Second Son instead of Titanfall for xbox one then your counter seems pretty silly.

Also, there isn't much else to play on xbox one either, that is why everyone on the system is flocking to a multiplatform game in the first place..zing!!!

"Damage Control" <- the single most overused term in SW.

Anyway...

On amazon.com, TitanFall is being sold three ways: bundle, retail disc, and download. They are currently ranked 8,9, and 11. So, going by Amazon ranking isn't exactly the most accurate determination.

Probably won't outsell it. Titanfall is a pretty damn big hit and they've got PC gamers who have been dying for a CoD4 type game for a very long time.

This isn't a titanfall thread it's a sales prediction thread between the two biggest upcoming games on PS4 and xbox one. Please try to keep up.

What a load of fanoy non-sense, man you take the cake, the very first Infamous game was AAA here at GS, and how the hell is Titanfall a blockbuster title except for the level of marketing that MS has invested into it?

I've got to hand it to you, you've worked hard so you deserve this...

#67 Posted by Bren128 (2353 posts) -

MS did a better job marketing Titanfall imo. Not that Sonys doing a bad job or anything.

MS always does a better job than Sony at marketing, that's something you can't take from the microsoft as a game company, and they went balls the wall with Titanfall for xboxone.

How much did Titanfall sell?

The month isn't over so I do not know.

Its still strange no data has been released thus far. Usually by now I would knew how much X game sold day 1 when it comes to big ones like Halo or GTA...

Hmm interesting point that did happen for other big games. Last I remember was Killzone and TLOU

How is Titanfall a AAA blockbuster? How about the AAA score it's received from GS?...

If you didn't have anything to say, it's better to say nothing at all.
