I'm actually shocked GS gave it a 10, but I'm really happy it did. First game was awesome and from the trailers 2 looks like they improved everything even more.

Honestly didn't even think about this games reviews tbh. I always had a feeling that it would score very highly anyways.

I guess it did surprise me that GS out of all people would give it a 10 though.

To be fair, compared to its competition (the XBox one is going nowhere exclusivewise), it is quite staggering.

Agree totally with that (Xbox's big Christmas game is a last gen collection/port...), but I think it's more about how few great exclusives PS4 and Xbone have provided. Pretty much Infamous and Forza 5 are it so far. Cross gen and PC/Xbox games are a bit to blame but still. More of a competition doing badly, then WiiU doing particularly well I think.

8 great exclusives in two years just doesn't seem "staggering" to me, I know charizard played Xbox 360 and Wii last gen so he should know how many great exclusives they had in their first two years, it was a lot more than 8...

Congratulations to Platinum games and Wii U. I knew Bayonetta 2 would have been an AAA/AAAA game. Told that to sheeps a month ago more or less.

Nintendo needed such title for Wii U to get some momentum. Its up to sheeps now to go out there and grab a copy and show some support to Platinum games and Nintendo.

They had a reason why if you guys remember when MGS4 first released. For 2 years more or less , they had no games. I mean , they were the laughstock of both sheeps and Lems for various reasons and one of them was the lack of great games on the system.

So thats why , when MGS4 released and scored a 10 ...they went berserk. Lets not forget what really was happening before MGS4 release. Thats why i think they went berserk with over the top comments.

I don't think most of the great exclusives on the Xbox 360 would have been exclusive if the PS3 had been around in its first year, though. All of the great exclusives on the Wii U are developed or published by Nintendo, which is pretty impressive from a development standpoint. It's going to have 10 before the end of 2014.

The fact that so many ill-informed gamers use the word synonymously is ludicrous at best and partly why many never take the fickle comments of gamers seriously.

Being honest here... the only character action game I've ever really played not in demo form is dmc4... and I got probably an hour or two into it.

Its for this reason that I kinda thought I just didn't care for the genre. Never cared to play them for whatever reason. I played the w101 demo the first day it came out and honestly thought that while it was good... it just didn't tickle my fancy. Another strike on the genre for me.

The bayo 2 demo however just really connected with me. Weirdly enough I was not half bad at the game at least where an easy mode demo is concerned. This small but meaningful gratification coupled with the games methodical but extremely fast paced and addictive combat made a fan out of me almost instantaneously. It has the feel of a game I might really sink into unlike at least one I mentioned. Dmc is just not my thing (felt too slow honestly... although I havent played much so who knows), while w101 I think was probably just an awkward demo, so I might give the real game a go for cheap later.

I can definitely see where the good reviews come from.

@PurpleMan5000: There wasnt no hype thread so technially there was no hype. I never got around to making it as I started new job which left zero spare hours. The closest I remember where was a collective opinion on the game quite a couple weeks ago was "hyrule warriors vs Bayonetta w. Which will get the better score" and a lot of people gave mixed views.

@PurpleMan5000: I love me some PG. First Game I played by them was Mad World. Played Bayonetta, Vanquish, mad world, W101. Still yet to play mgs revengence. Anarchy Reigns was online so never played it as wasnt going to pay for online for one game on my 360 at the time lol.

I'm just trying to decide which to play first is soooo troublesome lol.

I've played Mario 3D world and NSMBU (as well as ZombiU, Nintendoland, and Pikmin 3). I know someone with the system. None of those games are great. I've played a lot of Mariokart on previous systems and this new one looks like more of the same. Same with Smash Bros U.

Many of them were Microsoft titles actually. In the first two years (same time WiiU has been out) Microsoft provided plenty of good to great to amazing (going by Metacritic) 360 exclusive titles like Kameo, Perfect Dark Zero, Project Gotham 3 and 4, Forza 2, Halo 3, Lost Odyssey, Crackdown, Blue Dragon along with Gears of War, Mass Effect and Viva Pinata (which later lost their exclusivity) and plenty of XBLA games.

That's Microsoft easily matching if not beating Nintendo's output exclusives wise , and Xbox 360 ALSO had the benefit of 3rd party exclusives like Dead Rising, Saint's Row, Dead Or Alive, Condemed, etc.

This is all somewhat pointless ancient history of course :P

I just don't agree with the notion that Nintendo have made the most EPIC EXCLUSIVE LINEUP EVAR!!! when actually the Xbox 360, vastly mocked and derided for it's exclusive lineup, easily beats it's over the same timescale of two years.

Well, the Xbox 360 probably did have the best first 2 years of any console ever created. It's just a shame what happened after that, though.
