That being said, I do really miss the interactions of the 2011 and 12 awards before TY (tried) crashed (-ing) them and even after. Some of you guys would have loved the folk we had back then and their endless egos would have enjoyed being with you guys as well.

Well, honestly, I don't see what they could do to fix it. I'd love the forums to go faster; but that won't necessarily bring the old people back or bring new people in. A game website like Gamespot is just...old news. New kids don't seem to be coming to the forum either; they stay on Youtube with their favorite personalities.

Sad but true. Hopefully we can get the podcast rolling again and get people excited and interested that way.

Doing a live podcast via someplace like Twitch or Hitbox and having a whole bunch of people from System Wars join in live and talk together could be a fun way to get the forum seem more alive. System Warriors will want to hear their friends and maybe join them as well.

Anything to get this forum going faster than 2 posts every 10 minutes.

Every single time i check what other people said about how they used to visit GS and don't anymore, it's because of the seemingly non-existent rules that permit all walks of life to crawl on these boards.

That spreads, word of mouth, and creates a reputation amongst net/gamer savvy kids that wanna talk about their hobby. And no new kid comes here because they don't feel like it's a cool place, or a special place. It's just another corner of the internet, filled with youtube comment like 'quality' posts 7 times out a 10, and this particular corner is dominated by much better boards like NeoGAF.

I think we are starting to see some of the old users come back, but slowly. Heck Killerfist is posting again and I have not seen him in ages. I did not like the change at first either, but I have grown to like how fast the website is now.

There are many different forums out there. I feel the same about this new GameSpot, it's shit, and I have already started looking for alternatives. Already joined one, but it's very PC centric. I like a place like System Wars where all platforms are equally discussed.

We need an award for "Most likely to post a cutting sarcastic remark" so I can win something next year.

Meh, I like the community that remains here too much to branch elsewhere.

Besides, I've found ways to take this into my own hands, it's only a matter of time and effort.

Your youtube account skyrocketed, i haven't checked it since your Tomb Raider review. I remember wen you barely had any views on your videos, that's pretty cool.

But you know what's a damn shame? That you don't make more reviews. I genuinely loved your Tomb Raider review, man. It was interesting, informative, long, and a honest perspective as a gamer. Make more. If your reviews would be on par with the quality of that Tomb Raider work you've done, that'd be amazing. Right up there with Game Sack and Classic Game Room (my favorite reviewers on youtube).

Wow thanks dude, very kind of you. It did skyrocket but only because PewDiePie mentioned me in a video and told people to subscribe to me, it gave me like an 8,000 sub boost over 2 days and then it just snowballed into what it is now.

I never thought I was very good at the whole review thing I talked about irrelevant stuff too much and didn't feel I had the right voice for it. Plus they were a LOT of work to do just getting all that footage together for the right parts and writing down what I wanted to say etc. and college kind of screwed me in the free time department so I went back to standard videos I could do faster

after college though when I have more time I might get back into them because my editing chops are a tad bit better and I have better gear etc.

That's what i liked about it. It wasn't just a quick general look, i could just sit back, relax and watch a detailed opinion on a game. And yeah, the quality of the work shows. The sound quality was good, the editing was good. It was a great watch.

no problem dude, I don't really spam it like I used to around here cos of the new sig rules. I do a big range of videos from acting like an idiot (GTA V) to a more serious side (DayZ)

My friend is wanting to start a 'let's play' channel up with me in the Summer onwards after I finish uni, if we get even 1/20 of that then we will be over the moon.
