SWG is a SystemWars offshoot that focuses on Gamespot users correctly or incorrectly predicting score outcomes for any said game across any platform. Users will place predictions with consequences attached just in case they manage to lose. Nobody should get off scot-free, amirite? Winning earns pride, and recognition (GS User Hall of Fame!). Or better yet, perhaps even earning this trusty GS Acheivement! JodyR has approved an emblem to hand out at the end of each year. :]

All new bets will now be added to the google spreadsheet above. This makes things A LOT easier for the SWG staff--and we don't have to deal with pesky HTML errors, text overload, and constantly editing GS pages which takes a lot more effort than a simple spreadsheet.

This is awarded to individuals who hold some sort of wizardry-like-talent in predicting the future. Hats off to the winners of the SystemWars Game challenge! We salute you... even if your crystal ball skills are scary.

Losing might require you to leave SystemWars for a certain amount of time, or wear a signature for a certain amount of time showing off your failure at predicting a score--or maybe even taking a funny picture/video of yourself; it's all based on what the user wants to do, and how "sure" he/she in that his/her prediction is right.

Rules

1. You MUST be a level 10, and have at least 200 posts in order to participate.
2. Reminder - No monatary esque type bets allowed. e.g. I will purchase X game if I lose/I will buy X for the first person... ect.
3. Score predictions must be specific or in a general-specific basis. Meaning, you must predict exactly a 8.5 or you may predict AA encompassing both 8.0 and 8.5.
4. Formats will now be strickly enforced. I will continue to reply and quote your bet until you get the format right. :]
5. Consequences must be completed within one week's time--a one week extension approved by me will be given if you need it.
6. Group Bets can involve a maximum of four participants.

8. Sales bets are NOT allowed.

GamespotUserName (Faction): "I bet that [insert item here]will [insert outcome here]; I will [insert consequence here] if my prediction fails."

Example listed below:

• Stevo_the_gamer (Hermit): I bet that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrimwill receiveat leasta 9.5 onat least one platform here at Gamespot; I will make a JRPG > WRPG signature along with displaying an anime avatar (picked out by at least three SW Loungers) and have it displayed in my signature/avatar until 1/1/2012 if my prediction fails.

Biggest changes from previous SWG are the following new rules:

1. Group Bets can involve a maximum of four participants.
2. The maximum time duration for a punishment is one month and the minimum is one week.
3. Sales bets areNOTallowed.
4. Bets will be VOID if a month passes past release of the game, and no review is present.

Stevo_the_gamer (Hermit): I bet that The Elder Scrolls V: Dragonborn (PC) will receive an 8.5; I will wear an avy of anyone's choosing (first one to post it in the thread post bet failure) for a week if my prediction fails.

Stevo_the_gamer (Hermit): I bet that DmC: Devil May Cry will receive a 5.0-5.5; I will post a photoshopped picture of myself dancing with ponies if I fail.

Stevo_the_gamer (Hermit): I bet that Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch will receive a 6.0-6.5; I will wear a signature showcasing Ni No Kuni > Skyrim for one week if I fail.

Stevo_the_gamer (Hermit): I bet that Dead Space 3 will receive an 8.0; I will wear a signature of anyone's choosing (first one to post it in the thread post bet failure) for a week if my prediction fails.

Stevo_the_gamer (Hermit): I bet that Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time will receive an 7.0-7.5; I will post a thread detailing why the PC is the worst platform to game on if I fail.

Blabadon (cow): I bet that God of War Ascension will get AAA here and Gears of War Judgment AA here.

If either one fails, I will allow a hater of either series pick all the captions for the games' respective hype threads.

Is this good? Also, just a quick question: I own a PS3+Vita but also play some games on PC (Dragon Age, ME and a couple more). However I'm not a blatant fanboy of Sony, sure I like their products (obviously) but I don't own any other consoles simply because I don't have the money for it (even keeping the Vita is proving a bit expensive as of now). Do I still rate as a cow or something else?

Make up a bunch of random junk about the game and try to make it so that you're not lying about any feature that is in the game.Look at my EA thread last year.

There is a slight problem with this one, highlighted in red. Try to keep score related bets to either A, AA, AAA or AAAA or a single digit score if you're feeling brave. Predicting two scores should also be fine (example: I bet that Ni No Kuni will get either 8.5 or 9.0 on Gamespot).

Kuromino (Hermit): I predict that DmC will score a 7.0 or 7.5 on the first system it's reviewed for at Gamespot; someone can determine my avatar for the month of February should I fail.
