Nothing in the world would convince me to buy this. Why?
-EA (I'm boycotting all their products released since 2013, this includes Star Wars)
-Massive amount of content missing from even Sims 1 and 2
No open world, loading screens everywhere, no pools, no toddlers, no story progression, no CAS, in addition to like 50 other missing features.. I'm not going near that game. And to whomever buys this crap, don't complain later about how EA is evil or whatever, you're helping them do it.
Edit: Are the patch notes saying that babies are kept in inventories? Oh god...
Also, this is already happening...

Word. Haven't spent a penny on an EA product since Sim CIty fiasco (which I also didn't buy). Don't complain about greed and exploitation in gaming if you're not prepared to talk with you own wallet and force change.

This is worse than Sim City.
I actually agree...SC was a complete failure for a long time, and then they patched it up and admitted their mistakes. I got it on a cheap sale this summer and it's rather fun now. No huge cities, but lots of mods and the future expac is awesome. What they did to sims 4 cannot be undone

Why did it take you so long to boycott them (all the way until 2013?)
That means you admit that EA still publishes some good and interesting games, and you just can't tear yourself away from the EA buffet table. 97% of EA boycotters will secretly play Mass Effect 4, Dragon Age 3, new Bioware IP, Mirror's Edge 2, Battlefield sequels and Star Wars Battlefront, and pick up Sims 4: Deluxe Edition when it goes on sale for $14.99 one day.
EA sales data already shows that these boycotting movements and "angry" protestations not only amount to nothing, but almost all involved aren't even being real.
Because 2013 was the year they fucked over a franchise I loved from them? SimCity's always online DRM ruined everything for me, plus numerous other flaws that game has. And now, they made it worse with how much shit they are cutting out of Sims 4.
Like I said, I won't buy things they have released from 2013 and onward. Any EA products I do buy are USED (one of their self admitted weaknesses) and from an era I can tolerate them best (I bought 007: Nightfire on the GameCube, only having got it in the mail yesterday). In 2012, I was more furious with Capcom (I still haven't forgiven them for putting that much stuff as on disc DLC in SFxT, which included my favorite Tekken character) than I was EA.

All of this. I really hope this game flops and scares Maxis into making a REAL Sims 4. Of course, knowing Maxis/EA, they'd probably just blame pirates and/or customers and not make any more Sims games.
