The Real Power of the X1

We have heard talk of secret sauce for the X1. Other than indie devs making a game for Sony, have we heard reports of the 50% more powerful PS4. (due to indie trying to kiss Sony's a$$) No third party devs have supported this claim.

Along with the power difference, we have also heard that/ the PS4 is easier to develop for. *Cough, Cough* Driveclub.

It also explains how Sonys console will be tapped out and the X1 will truly be a powerhouse for the next 10 years. It also raises the 4K gaming potential that's supports what MS said.

That secret sauce. Definitely this gen's equivalent of TEH CELL.

The cell was Greek Mythology. This is new tech that is ground breaking! Like all new tech, it will need to be harnessed. That's why Ryse only looks as good as it does. LOL.

The PS4 supports 4K too. 4k movies will be supported at launch, later games too.

There's very little need for PS4 to use PRT since it doesn't have two speed memory pools i.e. PS4 has one high speed memory pool.

Roman........Ha I see what you did there. I definitely appreciate both consoles. I love the tech surrounding them and especially the X1. All is well if you just want to game. We come on here to shout from roof tops that "my choice is better because of a, b, c, d, x, y, z" Silly when you think about it.

Sony is stuck with a gimped version of OpenGL for the PS4. This new tech MS is using goes hand in hand with the next version of DirectX.

Sony has stated just movies and pictures will support 4K. They have said no 4K games. Do you have a link if you don't mind me asking?

How can Xbone support 4K when most of its games can't even reach 1080p?

Ryse - 900p

KI - 720p

BF4 - 720p

Dead Rising 3 - Variable resolution

am already sold on the xbox1,just more reason is the juicy videos of and ryse...cant wait to play it on my 40" Samsung.

Good question! These are launch titles that have a strict deadline with new tech. KI is fine at 720p and I don't think they pushed for more.

Don't just go after a number. Killzone may be 60fps in MP but that is standing still, looking at the sky. Very deceiving the devs are.

my text got cut off from above. As you can see the 50% power difference doesn't even give it a 50% advantage over a Xbox 360 version of Halo. Killzone adds the fog and motion blur to mask its low power.

The frame rate drop was from a tester looking at the sky, playing it.

True. I think his point though was the PC is still his choice, based on the bang for buck theory.

The order is not 900p

Is 1920x800 and is not upscale to 1080p like Ryse is it was a design choice because they are emulating a movie theater experience,The order was never say to be 1080p and latter lower like Ryse was.

And BF4 is not 720p on PS4.

By the way since when GPU alone work or do anything,so your need like $450 dollars more of hardware to make that work and don't forget windows.

The X1 GPU doesn't work alone.
