Flight Simulator 2000 used as a tool, helped change the state of the world as we know it, fact. Even attempt to find a more influential game. I dares you. You wont.

Not sure why people seem to think this is a joke. It technically is incredibly influential, good or bad. I doubt you can really deny the effect or just how powerful a tool this game was/is. It's probably the single most relevant game in the history of video gaming as a medium.
influenced the world outside gaming, not the gaming world. Swing and a miss slugger.http://www.airliners.net/aviation-forums/general_aviation/read.main/576388/

I don't think you understand context very well. The world outside of video games, is more relevant than video games "world".
To influence the world as a whole makes it probably the most signifcant example of a video game ever to exist, regardless if people view it as good or bad, it was used, it happend.

Actually, your example of terrorism was an act against the US and not the "entire world". There are more gamers in the world than the population of the US, the games industry involves more people, so maybe it's more relevant?
