I got a PS3 back in '06 expecting Kingdom Hearts 3 to land on that. Instead, I got a ton of great games from Sony's amazingly talented first party studios. I buy PlayStation not for the hardware, but because Sony owns some of the largest, most talented studios in the entire game industry.
And Sony has a number of game industry veterans that can only be matched by Nintendo.

Herms mad because all they've been getting lately are buggy console ports. Hell even their exclusives like total war 2 had technical issues and such. Meanwhile console exclusives have been winning goty's left and right and are some of the most praised, highest scoring and most talked about games. How total war 2 standing in the goty race? Of course everything is subjective but mostly console exclusives have been winning readers and staff goty's for the past couple of years and console exclusives are some of the most talked about and praised games and herms are missing out on them and you just can't ignore that and say public opinion doesn't matter. You can't ignore titles like rdr, gtaV, tlou, gears/god of war series, zelda, mario etc. and think platforms are equal because you threw in a bunch of no-name pc titles like from that pic a couple of posts ago.
He's going off topic because the OP posted a fact that a $100 video card outdoes a $600 system. (not including $300 online fees of 1 gen)
If a console was just a graphics card than this comparison would make sense. However, a console is a package that lets you plug and play. If you just bought a graphics card, it would do nothing.

It only takes $100. A 600-800$ pc beats new consoles easily. This bodes badly for rest of the gen as thsi gap will widen (as every gen so far)

The OP's link does show $100 is not an exaggeration. Stop lying. Also the gap is not large at the start of the gen, it starts smal then becoems large. every1 kinows.

I hate repeating myself, but alas. A $100 graphics card by itself does nothing. I'm not lying, go buy a graphics card and see what it does without the rest of a PC. A console is a convenience, an all inclusive package. I shouldn't have to explain the simplistic concept of a consoles.
I'm still saying you should not hope for a large gap if you're a PC gamer. The larger the gap the less meaningful all the extra power the PC becomes for a large portion of games.
The most embarrassing thing is that Nintendo, MS, and Sony are multi-billion dollar companies that, through their combined efforts across all their systems (Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS Vita, PS4, 3DS, and Wii U) could not provide more high-rated games than the PC has gotten this year.
PC takes on 7 systems by itself, and demolishes them all. 7 AAAe games, and 25 AAe games in 2013 without hundreds of millions of dollars being pumped into the platform by a huge company.
PC is quite amazing, and it gets better every year.

What does that even mean? You've said it twice and not once explained what you meant by it.
Look at what was the 360 in November 2005 compared to gaming PCs and what are the Bone and PS4 to gaming PCs in November 2013....With this trend the Xtwo and PS5 will be dead weak....
