GameSpot will flop it with a 7.
My MetaCritic/GameRankings hype is somewhere around 90, but I think GameSpot is going to flop this game. I don't have much of a reason to think they won't.

Hilariously enough, AAAAE is actually getting enough votes to be considered a legitimate contender for official hype level.
Same old cartoon racer.
7-8/10. Good for the kiddies.
*Yawn* Get new material. You've been trying to look like the typical "mature" gamer forever now. Get new troll material.

Kiddies? Try completing any Nintendo game 100% and tell me again their games are for kids.
Why is there even a hype thread for a game that won't be released for nearly three more months? Does this mean I can make a hype thread for SSB4 too?

There's already a hype thread for SSB4.
You've never seen a family friendly game before have you.
It's pick up and play. Of course 100% completion demands a lot of retrys. How they have always been. Dont expect kids to finish it like that.
No one's looking at anything, saying it how it is. Clearly I've struck a nerve on you.
@Demonjoe93: Get new material? Isn't that what he's saying to Nintendo? I suspect that will follow Nintendo trying something new.
@DocSanchez: even nintendos games tend to feel more fresh than this "kiddy" spiel thats been going on since the gamecube

The "Nintendo is kiddie" crap has been around longer than that. See: SNES (you know, the Nintendo console keep referring to as their "golden years?")

Ah, I see. So an advertising campaign is the reason that the SNES, unequivocally referred to at least the second greatest console of all time, is not Nintendo's 'golden years.' Gotcha.
I'm expecting a 6/10 from Gamespot and nothing to write home about in general. I think Mario Kart has stagnated more than most of Nintendo's franchises. They really need to get rid of that blue shell too.
Call me crazy, but Mario Kart could learn a few things from Modnation Racers. The drifting mechanic adding to a meter that you can then spend on either speed or defense was pretty genius and helps nullify the randomness of the items.
Now here's the thing. Gamespot gave one of the best, most well designed platformers ever made a 6 and a really poorly designed, sloppy platformer a 9... There's been a trend on here that gameplay mechanics don't matter very much and presentation and story is the most important thing... Couldn't disagree more, but given the type of editors Gamespot has here, Nintendo's strengths don't play to what they look for generally.
Gamespot: 6
Metacritic: 72
You guys are way overhyping this game.
@Pikminmaniac: if that was the case they wouldn't have gave zelda goty last year. If there's anything to take away from DK scoring so low is that GS is all over the place when it comes to reviews
Heh, at this point all Activision as to do is release Nitro Kart 3 and it will kill this off. They should halt this or bundled it with a pro controller after rebranding. Also Sonic is coming out at around the same time on more popular consoles? Yikes.
They may want to replan their release strategy.
@TigerSuperman: Crash hasn't been relevant in years thanks to all the shitty games activision made under the franchise

Ye, that's why every game UNDER Activiion has scored green and sold millions right? Hmm..... You seem to not know what you are talking about.
You could be talking about Sierra but those also sold millions hmm......
In fact, that last few tony hawk games sold millions to but that did not come back until just now. Maybe there hasn't been a crash game because hmm.... ACTIViSION HAS BEEN FOCUSING ON ONE FRANCHISE FOR THE LAT FEW YEARS AND MADE 3 STUDIO SUPPORT TEAMS BECAUSE OF COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GAMES? (Prototype etc.)
The same Crash that still coming up on Activisions finance reports because the games are still selling is not somehow irrelevant because of ":bad games? Lol wut. Spyro had bad games. If you said Spyro you would be a bit saner.
I also find it interesting you only targeted the Crash part of my comment. Those were some hard years for the N64.

And what was said platformer?
@TigerSuperman: holy shit it's like you're having an aneurysm choking on all of that stupid and can't even type coherently.
When's the last time activision released a crash game? When's the last time we've even heard about it from them?
It's dead son.

Lol, how do you **** up so badly after trying to call out my typing?
Anyway, yeah remember Tony Hawk? When.. Oh wait they just announced a new on and that franchises last game was back further than Crashes.
As for hearing about it, I guess those game deals that keep flying across my screen don't exist at all. Or the fact the newere games are still selling. or the fact the second IOS game got an update 2 weeks ago.
Is there a particular reason you attacked one part of my last post with nonsense? (I did not actually say the series franchise by name, it's like you got butthurt over the series being slightly mentioned.)
I mean, I guess you are a Nintendo fanboy. Having almost outsold all platformers on the N64 combined (and did if you include CTR) and then the next gen ACTUALLY doing that, well i understand the pain. But seriously, that was a strange move on your part.

Yo Tiger, quick question? Why don't you just post on your old account? Whats the matter with another48hours? Or JakandSigs?

Puppeteer.

Puppeteer. All flash and nothing particularly designed well or interestingly in terms of gameplay and level design. It was super sloppy and all over the place. I always look forward to a good platformer, but I was incredibly disappointed with that one. If anything gameplay and level design should be nailed in this genre and there should at least be some proper challenge otherwise there's nothing there to engage the player. You're just going through the motions.
Mario Kart 8 preorders are already sold out on Amazon. O_o
This may be exactly what the Wii U needs. I'm going to get the digital version. I have never sold any of my Mario Kart games, so I might as well have it on the system itself.
This gonna flop.
You're gonna flop.
Pff, well excuuuuuuuse me princess but this game is totally overhyped.

Nah man, this will deliver. Be the GOTY and all that.

Digital? Get the physical copy. Digital sucks.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Dark Souls II, The Evil Within, Batman: Arkham Knight, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and X will deserve it much more. ;)

Gotta disagree. I heart digital, brah. I already have digital versions of Injustice, Donkey Kong, Rayman Legends, and Pikmin 3.
How come MK7 isn't even reviewed? I want to see the lame-ass score it deserves! :P
What are you talking about? It's right here.

Oh! I got confused since here it says nothing.
@inb4uall: inb4 he denies it despite having the same shitty posting style.
Nice way to dodge your butthurt Shibobishyguy. BTW, odd how I have been posting to get this account back while that very account has already posted before, And by account back I mean the new site screwed up and changed my password. so it seems strange for the admins to give me my account back if I was using a duplicate account, but I guess no one knows what the full story is for me posting again so i don't blame you. What a long 4 months it's been.
BTW, how come you won't answer that question?

You have this very odd taste in games. Although I don't think puppeteer is good myself.

It's only one store, but... yes. This is good. This is very good indeed.
