Ah. I saw a tag on the box that said "pre installed software" but I guess it wasn't the US one. I personally don't care about that as I prefer physical copies for borrowing out. What is silly is just the xl version. I'm still on the launch model and now I'll likely take a wait-and-see approach to this one. The first xl screen just wasn't as vibrant and imo was perhaps a touch too large for the 3ds resolution.

...The no AC thing is bothering me a bit. Everybody should flood bullshit on it--negativity around a new device is never good. Nintendos claim that it is to cut costs is bullshit. Those things probably cost a quarter to manufacture. They know that people will have to shell out 20 dollars for the accessory.

Sucks that MM XL sold out so quick. There are tons on ebay for upwards of $400 and people are bidding on them! Wish the people that are only trying to make a quick buck would not get them so those that plan to actually use them will be able to get them.

Because Americans are a-holes. Just like the scalpers buying up systems there will be people using chargers not compatible or the wrong voltage and whatnot--destroying the systems. This could also happen as an honest mistake; on nintendo customer support "well my son simply plugged it in and it stopped working."....obvious outcome but the customer is always right and ultimately this will lead to negative press arou d nintendo which is something they can't afford right now.

The no charger thing really irks me. Never had a DSi. Gave my brother my OG 3DS and want to trade in my XL for the new one but I'm sure GameStop requires the charger

I called my brother a loon for dragging me out to a GS this morning at 10am. Figured they wouldn't even have them ready for preorder considering the announcement was like 15 minutes prior.

Turns out he had the right idea. Thanks to a wonderful gal working the store, we got our N3DS systems reserved. I went with MH edition, bro went for Zelda. We are happy campers.

Wow. I passed on the Zelda and waited an extra 15-20 minutes for the MH bundle to be available in the system at Gamestop this morning. The MH one looks better imo. Is that one not selling as well?

I planned on trading in my 3DS XL in for this but to preorder one of the limited editions, the order had to be paid in full. And there is no way I am going that long without my 3DS. (My wife got my OG 3DS when the XL came out) So I guess I will be the proud owner of 3 3DS's. Whatever. At least I don't have to worry about a charger.
