meh i'll trade it in. Trade in price is 25-30 dollars for TLOU so 20-30 bucks for the new version is no biggie.

or take your existing copy and trade it in while it's still worth more than $5. that + the price you get off already because it's not a $60 release is more or less what you'd pay for a game that does have some kind of upgrade offer.

No because i had the sense to buy on disc so traded it in. That's my upgrade discount so 50% of the cost is already covered.

What pisses me off is not having my multiplayer progress transfer, thats bullshit.

Im want to keep playing the TLoU multiplayer for years to come on the PS4, but fucking starting over a year worth of progress is bullshit.

The single player DLC or the multiplayer DLC? or both?

The single player DLC is ok... its a "one-and-done" deal. And story wise is was kind predictable and not really all that emotional and intense for the part that mattered most (the final moments of Ellie with Riley). What happens to Riley and what Ellie does about is really what I wanted to see, but they didnt show nothing, they just end it as soon as the realize both girls got bitten.

The Multiplayer DLC is really worth it becuz the game only has 6 maps so they get old fast, 6 new DLC maps add alot of variety and freshness.

My decision to buy it was entirely dependent on it being discounted. So won't be buying the new one, it seems. Which is fine... I have tons of other games I've already played that I'd much rather play again... like the Dragon Age and Witcher titles.

$50 dollars is good enough for me and if your poor, then don't buy it. plain and simple. Buying it again, no matter if it were $60, I got money.

It looks like it may as the SP dlc was only $15.

More audience = more money.

For example, there may only be 300,000 people willing to pay $50 for this, but there could be 3,000,000 people willing to pay just $20 to upgrade. Higher price doesn't necessarily mean Sony makes more money.

I totally spaced it. I forgot I couldn't edit polls so I didn't make sure the poll was 100%. Either way, I only care about initial sales, I don't care about how much this game sells a year from now when it's a lower price. I only care if you want to pick it up at launch, if you don't want to pay full price, even if you want to wait, I'd pick option 1 even if it hasn't effected your buying decision. It's the same difference - if the game were upgrade price, you'd have picked it up at launch.

I'm sure people will rebuy it for PS4 because there are barely any exclusives for the system at the moment.

Doesnt effect me. My ps4 copy will be sitting right next to my steel case ps3 copy. Being successful means you don't have to chase discounts and sales.

@KHAndAnime: Sony realizes that the average consumers aren't really all that bright. So out of the 7 million that have already bought TLOU a large amount will buy TLOUR based off of sheer brand loyalty. If even 1/7 of those consumers double dips then they've already made 50 million.

Why not give the option for both? Because they know people who have it will choose to upgrade. They want to pigeon-hole those people who would rather play on their PS4's into paying a premium that is unnecessary.

I never really expected there to be an upgrade option although that would have been nice.

WOW TLOU R for PS4 is causing a lot of ass hurt.
