A game that held up as well twenty years later as Super Metroid does.This is Nintendo at its peak- its pinnacle, showcasing what it does best: pure game design. Incredible graphics, amazing storytelling, and arguably the greatest atmosphere and music of all time only add to the amazingness of the game design.You know, if you haven't already played this game, go buy it on the Virtual Console and play it. See what alll the hype is about. I guarantee you, it's worth it.If you have? Then play it again. Super Metroid deserves some celebration on its twentieth birthday.

I really need to play that game one day. I'm just not sure if it's worth eight dollars to buy a twenty year old game, no matter how amazing it is. Is it worth eight dollars even today?

Because clearly the video game medium was as wide-spread, acknowledged, and celebrated in 1994 as it was today right? At least have a GOOD argument.

TLOU is an amazing game. I actually think the multiplayer is what elevated it to amazing as the single player, after one play through, left me feeling like it didn't do anything revolutionary. However, despite it being a great overall experience, the story and cinematic presentation was what held that game together. The gameplay was nothing that hadn't been done before.

Gameplay > __________

Super Metroid > TLOU

Hell so are OoT and LttP

Stay mad, son. As of now... it's the most awarded game. Super Metroid? gtfo. Deal with it.
