Fallout with the Bloody Mess perk. Seriously, I've played a LOT of gory games in my time, but Fallout is the only one that has made me let out audible exclamations of shock. And it's 11 years old.Verge_6

It's hard to really capture it in pics...I mean, seeing the bits and pieces fly out, accompanied by sound effects that literally make you wince are what really complete it. For instance, a high-powered round would rip the whole left side of a TORSO off, sending the remants flying out, with the crunch of bones splintering and flesh squelching with it.

Not sure if it's exactly "goriest" because it is just so cartoony and stylized, but definitely one of the games with the most blood. MadWorld is pretty bloody as well.

GeOW is gory but not that Gory, just the explosions and headshots that were gory.

SOF2 is still damn gory, heck SOF3 probably aswell - even though the game is terrible.

It was a strange anonimous japanese game for X360 with a problematic spelling tittle which I can't remeber right now. I just know the game was with two chicks slashin monsters and I think that game is so far the GORIEST game ever... but, wait for God of War 3... mavven

Oh and Killerfist, I agree with the "WTF are you serious" moments in Manhunt, the Headshots in that game are EPIC. Best Headshots EVER and I haven't seen a game beat them yet.

The original manhunt was/is one of the most brutal. Not always for all out gore/blood - just pure violence from the very first paper bag kill.

Never did complete it though.

Other than that, the soldier of fortune games are pretty gory.
