The Fall (Wii U), Out Now, Looks Pretty Great

This game looks pretty neat, actually. It was released on PC in May, and is now out on the Wii U too. The premise is absolutely amazing, the game's atmosphere seems incredible, and the story looks to be pretty gripping. Apparently, reviewers agree on this one, too.

For fans of adventure games and sci-fi, you won't want to miss this one. The Fall is a great story, well told, and it's thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish.

An absolute must-buy for fans of Philip K. Dick and Arthur Clarke, The Fall is a prime example of a perfect storm of a game. Coming out of left field with zero hype, it banks on rock solid game mechanics and incredible art direction/voice overs, to carry a poignant story that will stay with players long after the end credits have rolled.

I linked the only reviews I found on Metacritic, apparently there are not many :p As I said, I will keep on updating it with reviews as more come in (although I hardly think very many are needed, the game's trailer and premise seem to be promising enough on themselves).

All three at once, in one post that was just about 50 words? I would say that that is a stunning, amazing accomplishment, but then again, it's you and you routinely do it, so I'm not actually sure why I'm even surprised any more.

You keep saying "amazing" on all Wii U games. And now even lack of Wii U games, not even good looking 2D fall is coming on Wii U, you call this amazing.

It´s like you saying that Iron Man 2 is best movie ever because this is the only movie you ever seen. This is what you doing. You need to play other games too, not just having 1 system and calling everything amazing when it´s not.

This game came out 3 months ago on Steam. Why make a thread just for the Wii U version?

'Lack of good Wii U games...' I'm not even going to bother getting into list wars bullshit, but just this year, Wii U has had more good games worth playing than PS4 or Xbox One have in total so far.

Cool, had no idea about this game and yet here it is and it looks good, and I have a Wii U to play it on... if I didn't already have stuff to play I'd get it now. But I'm most definitely picking it up soon. I'm excited, Metroid: Zero Mission should be coming to eShop in near future, hope we get an announcement at PAX Prime. Really looking forward to Affordable Space Adventures as well, it's SUPPOSED to come out in third quarter and is still tentatively labeled as such, but if it's release is a month away and nobody has a clue about it and no official release date and price is known then I have doubts... then again, maybe they'll announce details at PAX Prime this weekend. And this, The Fall, looks great. Should hold me over until that other stuff releases.

Anyhow, like the look of this game, gameplay reminds me of Blackthorne with that push-UP cover system, dark like Out Of This World / Another World. Glad it has a good narrative element. I just hope it's a meaty downloadable title worth a few replays.

I didn't know about it when it came out on Steam. I knew about it because it was prominently plastered on the eShop, I saw the trailer, looked it up, liked what I saw, posted it here. It's pretty simple, really.

I didn't intend for the game to come off as a Wii U 'exclusive' however, since I know it's not (note how I never call it an exclusive in the OP), but you're right, I should probably mention that it's also on PC, so I'll go ahead and edit that in, that is a fair catch.

I saw this as I waited for the mk8 update. Not sure what to make of it. I've got $13 something on eshop--think I'm going to get the mk8 dlc instead.

As for the game in question it gives off a Metroid/Out of this World vibe.
