Pretty sure they said that was a mistake and it will not be coming to next gen consoles. Either way, the PC version is leaps and bounds ahead of any console version they could possibly produce due to the endless amount of mods for the game.

They should probably do the Assassin's Creed exchange thing. $10 extra for an upgrade if you own it or whatever it was. The PC version looks vastly superior to the 360/PS3 versions, so an X1/PS4 version isn't the worst idea. I just can't imagine there being too many people who haven't played it to death wanting it on next gen.

They should have done this for launch, or at least the first quarter after release. They had a long time to do it and the port friendliness of the new consoles and PC suggests it shouldn't have been too difficult. There's no real RPG on either console, and it might have done ok. But the tide of new RPG's is coming slowly, so I don't know.

It's my game of 7th gen, so yes, i would get a 1080p60 next gen version. The rumors were false, though, hoping for a TESVI or Fallout 4 announcement soon.

Id only buy it again if the PS4 and XB1 version supported mods..........which they wont.

Skyrim... worst modern Elder Scrolls game by a long shot. Morrowind and Oblivion were so much better.... sigh... I would probably buy upgraded versions of THOSE two games if they had added content... however, Skyrim? lol... no

Elder Scrolls is all about the "everyman hero" not some tool that shoots lightning from his ass and shouts at dragons... I already have Marvel Super hero games and I also already have Skyrim... it was EASILY my biggest game let down of all time, and THAT is saying a lot, because I have had some major let downs. Over all, Elder Scrolls is STILL my favorite franchise, but another misstep like Skyrim, and I probably wont purchase anything else... if it keeps going more casual and taking the path FF continues to take...

Skyrim has been within the top 10 played Steam games since it came out. Pretty sure that means many millions of units sold.

Also it's nto about preference. It's about idiot console gamers not knowing any better. Vanilla Skrim is... ok. Vanilla SKyrim on consoles sucks donkey balls. Modded Skyrim on PC is immersive and amazing.

they probably should pop out a PS4 and X1 version though. try and get the engine upgraded with some of the newer tech in the PS4 and X1, upgrade the textures (they should have the originals hanging around somewhere), inclide all the DLC and release. maybe toy around with mod support also (assuming MS and sony will allow mods to be distributed).

It's not even a comparison...the PC version is head and shoulders above the console versions. Even if they get the game to run on par graphically with the PC version, there's still the countless mods available for PC.

As everyone else has said, the PC version of Skyrim is simply the best, and the console versions would not even come close to it. The high-res textures, coupled with the mods simply makes this game astoundingly beautiful. If you haven't tried it on a PC , I suggest you do.

Since the PS4 and xbosx one versions of this game don't exist anymore this thread will have to be locked
