Thanks Xbox!

I guess he really did push it to the limit.
Why would anybody play a racing game on the PC? Yuck.
Prepare for a million hermits to rage at you...
Well first off I'm primarily a PC gamer.
And to the others in this thread who have just flipped their shit: PC controls(keyboard and mouse) aren't great for racers. Never have been. In fact, you'd be better off playing the game on a console. Most people who love racing games play them on the console. Which is why I'm wondering why anybody would want to play the game on the PC.

that's the best place to play racing games. 100+ fps makes a big difference.
Maybe, but the control scheme offsets that advantage. You simply will not be as good as someone using a controller.
You could use a controller but that's also uncomfortable when you're used to playing with the M+KB.

Hey I'm having a garage sale this weekend. I have some great children's books on reading comprehension you might be interested in. I'll take some pictures of them for you if it will seal the deal.

You can plug a controller in to PC. But I get your jist. I like sports games on consoles better too. Even though you can use a controller on PC. Consoles just feel better for that type of game imo. As for racers tho, I have to disagree. You are basically getting better graphics and framerate on PC with more control options. Just my opinion though.
To each their own. I feel weird trying to use a controller with the PC. Maybe it's just because I'm used to gaming in a certain position.

My reading comprehension is just fine thankyou...
My reading comprehension is just fine thankyou...
It apparently isn't if you have to ask me to clarify what I just typed, or tell me I'm speaking nonsense.

It is nonsense. For starters, sim racers are found mostly on PC which means that most racers who are passionate about racing will be playing on PC. Games like Forza and GT can't hold a handle to PC sims.
DriveClub is my only racer thisyear.
Same here. It is by far the most impressive racer to date imo. The amount of detail they went in to as well. AND it affects the gameplay! Like Snow falling and Ice forming on the road. Makes it slippy.
It's an exciter is DriveClub.
You don't need snow to make the car slide. The car handling needs a lot of work.

multiple control options are available for driving games on PC. I normally game on PC with a 360 pad, however I do own a logitech G27 racing wheel as well, and a joystick. control scheme is a moot point (or actually in favour of PC because there is more choice). haven't even attempted a driving game with m/kb controls in over a decade.
i'm wondering if you have any other reasons?

It's an impressive game with a shit load of detail. It isn't meant to be a sim racer. Maybe the handling isn't like a real car, but so ****. I'm more excited for it than PCars and The Crew (lol).
Its not a case of it not being a sim racer, the cars really do have trouble going round bends.

You have proof for that? Like actual statistics? If not then nothing else needs to be said except: Prove it.

I understand this but none of them are as comfortable for me as a mouse and keyboard. I like the precision of the mouse, but the keyboard isn't good enough to simulate proper throttle.

How is using a controller or actual steering wheel less comfortable than playing a racing game with a mouse and keyboard? I haven't even considered playing a racing game on PC with the kb/m since the 90's. I honestly didn't even think it was still an option considering how terrible of a control scheme that is.

i don't get it mr airshocker. i just don't get it. this started because of post # 34.

omfg bwahahahahahaha
So this is just a direct port from consoles or what? Racing games usually have way less happening on the screen, I can't imagine a good reason to have it capped like that. Also love how in that cutscene glitch the girl says ''push her to the limit''. He sure did lmao.
I could see locking at 60. But 30? My Titan Blacks want something to challenge them. ( other than Crysis 3 and Metro LL) I guess I'm still waiting on Star Citizen to support sli then......
And Cows are trying to blame Lems for parity.....
But, but PC master race?
Still going to be better than the consoles?
Consoles have Forza Horizon 2 and Drive Club, so they aren't stuck playing this pathetic looking shit

Maybe. But it may have been brought to their attention and will be fixed before launch. Or in an update with the weather patch lol.
I really don't know how people are coming to those conclusions to begin with. Everything looks solid to me. "trouble going round bens."? I haven't seen that. Infact the cornering and physics are sim-realistic. Honestly the only thing that is arcade about Drive Club that I have seen is that the damage doesn't have an effect on the driving.
The claims about Drive Club having no physics or bad driving is BS.
The reason you don't see videos of Drive Club with cars sliding all over the road like in Forza Horizon 2 is because the driving system is far more realistic. it actually requires skill to handle cars and I found this video to prove it.
So far most videos of Drive Club has drivers who are skilled, but here is a video of what happens when someone tries to play Drive Club like a simple arcade racer.
Drive Club is a arcade racer mainly because there is no penalty for damage/crashes. Other than that, it's seems just a tight and precise is either GT or main Forza games. There is no problem with the cornering, It just can't expect to play it like an arcade racer.
But, but PC master race?

I know. Just referring to this game.

perhaps with resolution, doesn't look that way with FPS
TC made a mistake, you can set the cap to 60fps.
Well, having just been kicked out for 15 minutes due to a server fault, I had a look on the forums and you can change the limiter but you have to do it in classic Ubisoft style
You should edit that into the OP. It doesn't look like too many people can read past the first post...
Another lazy console port, most likely demanding poor clyde pay £39.99/£49.99.
It isnt consoles fault when devs decide to not explore the capabilities ef each system. As i said on Bungie's Destiny, forced parity us just stupid.
Valve, when they had EA make "The Orange Box" said "this isn't good enough". And so, because Valve didn't have any proper PlayStation developer, didn't release Left4dead on the platform.
Then, when Valve actually got some decent staff who could make a high quality PlayStation version, Portal 2 was released, with steamworks and a free copy.
With EA and Ubisoft "**** it, bang it on... Moneys"
