TF2 free weekend. Anyone taking advantage?

I'm curious to see if tf2 can run on my pos pc if i just lower all the settings (my friend's pc sucks too and he could do it)

i figure this will give me the chance.

i have the 360 version....but it sucks. which is literally painful because ive played the pc version before and it rocked. i really hope i can get it

The lag is non existent for me and it's easy to find a good full room. But it's definitely better on PC. Still very fun on 360 though

doesnt hl2 require a duel core processor?

cause i dont have one...and even if it doesnt, i doubt my comp can run it. even on the lowest settings

In my opinion from playing, it just didn't feel right with out a mouse and keyboard. Some games can be adapted well to a controller, some can't and TF2 was one of them.

The Source engine scales well, but the only thing I'd be worried about is being Ubered.

On my work PC at lowest settings it becomes a slideshow when I get ubered.

well, from my experiance as long as you're not a heavy, thats not much of a "problem"

I hope I can. My graphics card should be able to run Counter Strike Source perfectly, but it only gets 5-6 fps. Hopefully I go return it tomorrow.

I'm preloading it though. I really like the 360 version, but I want the PC version because of all the custom made maps.

i just finished pre-loading it. when i clicked it in "my games" it said it would start in 16 hours and 39 mins. so thats about 4 pm eastern time
