System Wars Lounge v55- The Late Night Horror Edition!

Since this thread is a little late compared to my plan, and since I really got into horror movies recently, I thought we should have an edition just to honor horror movies.

So I recently saw It Follows....

And it was good.

There's just two rules to the lounge....

1. No politics or religion, save that for OT.

2. No flaming, but some playful ribbing is permitted. Just don't be a dick.

Horror movies are awful....they're almost as bad as horror games for me.

As in...I can't watch them b/c I'm a big wussy.

Like those movies with deformed japanese little girls with grungy hair and black holes for eyes....yeah...that shit freaks me the **** out.

Persona 4: Golden is the worst.

Last horror film I went to, I was laughing at it.

Guessing the audience thought I was nuts.

I don't find horror scary anymore it's become predictable too many clichés and whatnot.

Persona 4: Golden is pretty much the Superman 64 of PlayStation Vita.

Never played superman 64. I would say that I didn't play it because I don't play shitty games but I did play persona 4 golden.

They're basically the same game. Same storyline, gameplay, etc.

I haven't seen a horror movie that actually scared me in awhile.

Any suggestions?

Problem is most horror movies nowadays follow in sequels like Paranormal Activity and Saw or they were terrible the first time and not worth a second round. I say that and then they spook me in my sleep haha.

The Conjuring was a pretty good horror movie that came out recently, it wasn't the scariest thing ever, but it was interesting nonetheless. The Exorcist is good too, but that's a cliche answer when pertaining to horror movies. I watched a bit of You're Next, but lost interest in it. The Purge had a good premise, but failed in the execution, didn't bother with the sequel, they gave out the perfect horror cliche of "Oh no! Our car stopped working! Let's stay in the city that will lead to death instead!" I typically don't watch many "scary," movies, I like to watch the bad ones and laugh at them like going to SyFy and laughing at all the terrible B-movies there.

The most horror I've gone into is Luigi's Mansion. Come at me.

That's up next, everything thing I've seen of it looks pretty great. I can deal with bad voice acting if the actual written text is high quality stuff.

It is. So far the voice acting hasn't been so bad that it ruins the experience. its serviceable. So far its basically everything I wish Dragon Age was.

That's not horror. That's a disturbing shock value movie.

I'm playing Fallout new Vegas, because I have nothing else to play. lol

The voice work isn't even that bad, it just doesn't do much justice to the writing.

Game is great though.
