Yeeep I'm "rocking" it lol. Gonna upgrade gpu soon, cpu is fine for now since I can always overclock it since I have plenty of power left and the core temps are very comfortable.

Just as I thought lol. :P What card/s you looking at? A gtx 760 would be a nice upgrade over the 560ti and shouldn't break the bank too much. :P
Yeah your cpu is still pretty good.

Do you get a 404 error whenever you try to publish a review. A user pm'ed me a couple of days ago about a similar issue and I have no clue what is causing this issue.

That last paragraph made me WANT to play this game just to piss more feminazis off. :s

Shitty japanese game gets shitted on for giving you demon broads, who only get beaten after you strip them butt naked. Plus they are young girls.

The game is sleazy and disgusting, and gets ripped a new one for it. Failing to see the issue, other than "herpa derp I'm butthurt over all the SJW talk, so now im gonna cry about it all the time". Her last paragraph is the only part that comes from complete ignorance, but even that is qualified.

@jg4xchamp: do your research, it's a quirky title. Do you really think you're only stripping women? Well your stripping men too. You get their underwear to frame and ier portraits as well. They are all adults except for the Protag and his sister. XSEED has done their best to provide equality to his game to quell the feminists. This game isn't supposed to be a erotic game, it's supposed to be something funny. And it is! I've read the tweets from Hatsuu, the woman participating in its localization. She said the entire office played and enjoyed it!

It's dumb that I have to explain this because our culture is so sensitive to nakedness. Which is ironic since more and more movies are having nudity in it.

But the problem I had with this reporter, is that she did not do research on the game before jumping the feminist agenda. She did so little research that she said it was coming out on PS4, when XSEED clearly states it's for PS3/Vita. That's what my problem was.

Issue being that according to the people who've played it's not solely focused on the "female body". As in, you need to strip and kill male NPC's too, and in equal quantities (least according to some comments I've seen regarding this). But I suppose stripping male bodies is cool according to society :P

Also according to them it's supposed to be a very obvious satire on Japanese society but given my knowledge of such subjects I couldn't really tell you. It might or might not be.

So being factually wrong (again, according to people who say they've played) and being a poor excuse for a blog post (even by the more relaxed opinion piece standards) kinda deserve to be mocked and ridiculed, be it about whatever subject :P

What's silly is that this will probably just help bring more attention to an otherwise off the radar game for 99% of the gaming population. Kinda like the usual R* effect but on a much, much smaller scale of course. Unless Fox hears of this! :O

It's a sleazy game, the fuck did stripping males change? That totally makes the stripping little girls part less tacky.

Plenty of people argue its tacky when HBO throws in a shitty sex scene through something like Boardwalk Empire (like i want to see a ghastly steve buschemi naked or something). It's a columnist writing an opinion, written for a website that is a glorified blog. She's not an actual journalist, nor what she wrote would even be classified as journalism. Doing some research works both ways.

You want to enjoy the game, be my guest. But don't get butthurt because someone is going to have a different opinion to just the visual direction of the game. Plenty of people on this forum go

"ugh war shooter"|

"ugh grey and brown"

"ugh orks, goblins, and walking trees"

Why would it be different for this type of shit?

Bro, if you want move goal posts from "it's actually not little girls, it's just chicks that look like little girls" go for it, but it's not exactly out of the realm of possibility that someone would look at a game like that and not think it's tacky.

I'm not moving shit bro.

Point is: @bbkkristian posted an article/opinion of someone who was/is making a big deal out of game tha 99% of the gaming population doesn't even know exists. In said article/opinion she presented plenty of factually wrong information and ommited plenty of other which would deny her one and single point about the game: that it is oppresive to women only.

We laughed at the article/opinion not only due to how badly written it is but also due to the evident lack of information and pushing of a clear agenda, thus making her look like a fool.

Your first post regarding this subject was in actual support of said poorly founded article/opinion, repeating the same misinformation in the article:

"Shitty japanese game gets shitted on for giving you demon broads, who only get beaten after you strip them butt naked. Plus they are young girls.

The game is sleazy and disgusting, and gets ripped a new one for it. Failing to see the issue, other than "herpa derp I'm butthurt over all the SJW talk, so now im gonna cry about it all the time". Her last paragraph is the only part that comes from complete ignorance, but even that is qualified."

The issue here isn't that it is sleazy or disgusting, that's a fairly personal opinion which needs not be debated. The actual isse is that

A) You're not only after little girls, you're after men and in equal proportions.

B) Regardless of how they look, as we've been informed by someone who probably knows more about it than the two of us, they are not little girls (again, it's pretty related to Japanese culture, in which this is considered ok for some reason.)

C) We're not laughing solely over the typical overreaction by a SJW (which it was), but also due the lack of proper information on the subject (in this case a game) and how poorly written it was. That makes ANY opinion/article look ridiculous and worthy of being laughed at.

D) If you fail to see the issue with this, I really don't know what to tell you...

#1835 Posted by Technoweirdo (7111 posts) -

Personally, I think of Akiba's Trip as the anime-esque equivalent of Saint's Row: The Third's (Haven't played IV yet) stranger parts. One moment, I'm bailing out of a BDSM club butt-naked on a human-gimp-drawn chariot. Next thing I know, I'm working as a zombie exterminator for Burt Fucking Reynolds with a giant cock for a weapon. Oh, and I did this as the girl who would later become the president of the U.S. of motherfucking A.

Remind me how much flak that got.

Given Valve's history, you'd think they'd like someone else to make their games for them. Then they can buy the studio and profit off of someones work!

It seems you've missed the point of what I said though.

I'm not defending the game though. I'm defending my stance that the article/opinion was crap and deserves to be laughed due to the lack of information and explaining it to jg4xchamp, since he seems to have misunderstood why some of us were laughing at it.

The author claims you only attack women in some sort of "sexual assault simulator" (not a word to word quote) and omits that you actually have to attack men, in equal quantities it seems. She concludes that it's an attack on women, their rights and bla-bla-bla. The usual ultra feminist drivel. She would be right, were it not that she either got her info wrong or manipulated the info in her article/opinion to fit her agenda.

As for how they look, again, it's a Japanese game. It's not a Western game. This sort of "look" seems pretty much acceptable there, considering how much of it is used in different entertainment forms. It seems to be their version of "bald space marine", but applied to more than games. Also since the game is supposed to be a fairly straightforward parody of society, it might even be part of the "joke". The whole idea of the game actually comes across as pretty goofy for me.

Is it sleazy? Yes. Is it disgusting? Perhaps for some, yes. Is it a good game? No idea. Did much of the meaning get utterly lost in people, like the author, who are not versed in Japanese culture? Definitely. Does Western society have a problem with naked/semi-naked bodies outside of films and/or adult rated TV shows? Yes.

I'll get this out of the way: Yes, the 'author' and her 'work' are shit. No argument there. Not what I'm here to talk about though. I'm here about your defense of the game to champ which you're doing a terrible job of.

"Oh, it's just Japan being Japan", which is what you're effectively saying by saying it's not a Western game; it's Japanese, and the look of young women in games there being accepted as-is is about as good an argument as "Oh, it's just Nazis being Nazis circa 1930's to mid-40's" (It isn't). Whether it's accepted in one place or not has nothing to do with whether it should be accepted at all. Blaming Western society (which does consider film/TV sex taboo, by the way) for not 'getting' it doesn't help whatsoever. Things like that and "I'm not really ten" are weak excuses for weak writers/artists and equally weak for their defenders. They just dance around the issue without actually trying to address it, only worsening it which I find sad as it puts the kind of games I enjoy in a negative light.

It's good that I'm doing a lousy job of defending the game since, as I've alreay said before, I'm not actually defending the game! :D Glad we agree on my only point, that the article and author deserved to be laughed at!

Also did you just pull a " If country with young girl fetish is okay, then country with oppressive, totalitarian, murderous, racial driven supremacy regime is also okay" analogy? O.o?

That's just wrong. Absurdely wrong.

Also you should play better games >.> Don't wanna be confused with @ladyblue's poor taste in gaming.

1. If you only wanted to talk about the 'author' and her 'work', then why are we talking about the depiction of young women rather than equality?
2. "Japanese otaku society is acceptant of the depictions of young women as-is. You baka gaijins just don't get it." is neither as poignant nor funny as Nazi analogies. That is, still, what your argument boils down to.
3. Game's like what?

1 - No, "we" aren't talking about anything. You are the one who brought that up out of the blue as if I was defending the game, when I made it pretty clear that I wasn't. You created an argument out of nothing. I limited myself to explaining to champ why I was laughing at her crappy article/opinion.

2 - Nazi analogies are funny now? Really? Also since when I'm an otaku? As you can read in my posts, I neither defended or attacked the use of "not-young-but-look-like-young" girls, just tried to explain it in the context of where it came from and how once more the author was blowing it way out of propertion to fit her agenda.

3 - Finally, what fucking argument? Seriously? This is the third time I'm saying that I'm NOT DEFENDING the game. Kinda hard to make an argument when I'm not actually making one...

4 - Games like the ones @ladyblue likes! Everything she likes is bad, mmkay? These are facts! >.>

I don't think I denied that her argument was based on ignorance, as much as she qualifies her ignorance to you (she doesn't play games). Coming in completely raw there is no way she would respond to a game like that without going "that's tacky" in her admittedly more aggressive words.

The whole she needs to understand the game, to not be creeped out about the rest is silly. The rest of the creepy ass shit doesn't vanish, nor do I buy the notion that if you tell someone its satire, it'll make it less offensive. You can absolutely make shitty misogynist jokes (Duke Nukem exists). More to the point the argument that this is "commentary on Japanese culture" is so fucking ignorant that it is breath taking. yes Japan has body pillows and shitty animes like this, but even the adults there for a majority do think of that shit as tacky and disgusting. Americans who've only exposed themselves to this type of stuff are the ones that think this shit qualifies as "Japanese culture". It's not Japanese culture, it's anime culture, creepy anime/hentai territory culture to be more precise.

Now she would have had a point on critics glossing this shit over, if the two articles she linked were actually critical write ups, and not reports on what the game is, and when the game is coming out, and yada yada.

Expecting professionalism from a columnist, from a columnist that is a blog post, just because it's on the huffington post, more importantly, the Huffington post is pointless. I could understand if this was the New York Times or fuck I could have even understood if this was IGN who paint the idea of professionalism, but her shit is literally a "HAIL WOMEN" blog? What she does isn't journalism. Shit what Kevin Von Ord does isn't journalism.
