I'm very interested in the Oculus Rift, I've always been interested in VR and I think it has great potential if done right, i'm still waiting on a release date and price.
What the??? that was total rubbish, a video with clips out of the film with a voice over it talking about coming to the rift, I meanwhat am i meant to get excited i want to see the game footage in action, or at least a clip not just movie clips lol, I hope my PC when it's built is good enough to handle the rift, tho i just don't see this stuff going mainstream for years, seem's to be alot of talk about VR but so early to even really get excited about.
I wouldn't really call that a system seller but it will make a strong public showcase and hopefully help the public believe in VR in general.
The only way to sale me on VR is to actually try it for myself....videos do nothing. I wonder if there will ever be a way to demo these things.

I am sure the major electronics places (Best Buy, Walmart, Target, hh gregg) will have a demo available. If you can try a PC, XB1, or PS4, why not this?

That would be a good marketing move for Oculus. It would also be great to host exhibits in public places of various things through the Oculus Rift. The Game of Thrones exhibit was a good one, they should expand that.
these vr headset are only going to succeed mainstream if they have a decent price point or can get to one quickly. I think £249 for early adopters and maybe £149 for mainstream would be the sweet spot. I can't see parents shelling out £349 for PS4 and then £300 per headset and then that's before you have considered PSN cost and a game that supports it.
I'm working for a little programming company right now that focuses on virtual reality stuff. Couple of days ago we had somebody there who wanted to show off the Oculus Rift. Only got to try it for a couple of seconds to look at some industrial blueprints but the technology itself is quite nice. I'm looking forward to VR gaming.
