Sunset Overdrive Official Hype thread

Oh good, glad to see people are actually taking the initiative with hype threads after the Forza Horizon 2 debacle lol.

I think this will be 8. Looks great fun, with some zany, irreverent humor. Insomniac seems to be back in form.

Will probably get AA

Predicting an 8. I'm not particularly interested in it but it will probably be pretty good.

I am trying dude. Lets make the metagame fun and clear cut again. I agree though AA is where I believe it will land.

It's a very rough HYPE thread but A for effort, lol.

As I've said 100x times, it looks like Insomniac fun. The Rachet & Clank tried and true gameplay fused with Dead Rising environments.

After this game, Insomniac's next official game is Ratchet and Clank PS4 for next year which is already in development. I wonder after that what Insomniac will do with their new Sunset IP? If Sunset gets good sales and scores, I would expect a sequel.

Definitely not buying day one due to Insomniac's last game FUSE (62/100 metascore) which causes me apprehension, but If the scores come in for Sunset I'll nab it. The question is whether I'll pay $60 or just $20 down the road.

@lundy86_4: Well hey, at least it does the most important thing a hype thread is supposed to do- clearly outlined what the hype for the game is. So many of other hype threads these days otherwise are fancy and shit, but they have no poll or hype tallies, which makes them useless for the meta game.

Cant argue there. I am new to Hype threads and it wouldn't let me put videos or more pics in. I am not very computer savvy, sorry.

Still, shooting for third place just sucks. Just nail a hype thread with a proper poll/count. Hell, we all knew about the fudging of polls years ago.

All in fun dude. I got my first computer in like 2007 and was in my mid 30s. I am 42 now, just jumped into PC gaming with a rig my Army buddy had to build for me, but I will learn. I want to make epic Hype threads like we saw way back when. Hopefully I'll learn. Any reason why after 3 pics and the copy paste I couldn't post any vid links or more pics? I was confused.

We're gonna hve to rollback Walmart style, because i'm seriously confused on whether or not this is a fun back and forth, or just a downright douchey one.

I'll go with an 8. Insomniac has made some great games imo, but I'm unsure about Sunset Overdrive, it could be really good or really bad, hoping it'll be excellent, but I know so little about it. Though, it sounds like PC is a possibility and that's where I'd get it (nothing against X1 though :p).

Even though its a game i will not play i'll give it a 9/10 as it looks fun besides its from possibility one of my favorite developers out there the creators of Ratchet and Clank so yeah

sadly i think it will flop really hard in sales.

Solid 8 AA. Gameplay and traversal looks awesome, but story and characters are barely meantioned so far, so i expect those to deduct a couple of points.

A solid overall game. Hoping for a PC version after the way they talked in that article

Not my cup of tea,I prefer games with interactive and engaging storylines rather than shooting super soakers at everything that pops up in front of me,which only Sony seems to do these days.
