Yes, Insomniac has certainly brought the awesome lately...

This was confirmed almost a year ago.

Also your tweet doesn't clarify that. It's just a tweet with a question..... Common man you're better than this.

You might want to post the actual confirmation, this is just a question

@kuu2: Very cool. I can't wait to see what this game looks like now.

#7 Posted by Heil68 (47174 posts) -

Really not an answer..is there? :P

#8 Posted by donalbane (16379 posts) -

And yet I still have no idea what the game is all about.

Ok so than Copy and paste the picture or use my link. Which confirms this for almost a year now. I mean is the twitter user stupid or something?

Well now that they make games on other platforms they suck of course.

Apparently we are going to be getting a lot of screenies in a couple of weeks as well.

I guess this is good, but being open world puts more pressure on developers to keep you interested. An open game can have all of the content in the world, and still might not be that interesting (GTA anyone).

#19 Posted by Daious (2076 posts) -

I always loved Insomniac. I look forward to see this game.

Man, and you say I am angry............

Also, a year old e3 without really any gameplay so I would say this is ok, or am I able to use dev quotes for other games now a year old?

So giving out information that's a year old is angry now?
Have you hopped on the bent bus this morning or what?

Ah, there we go! Why didn't you post that the first time around TC? :P

Hope we get some solid gameplay this E3! Curious to see the game in action.

I think we are going to get gameplay in a couple of weeks actually prior to e3.

I thought the original link would post the whole string. In the link I used for twitter the response was there but I had to post both links, ugh........

think I played a demo of that once...did one of the characters have a blackhole special feature for their gun?

Poor lems, so desperate for Xbone news :(

#26 Posted by Lulu_Lulu (18493 posts) -

Some were not sure if this game was going to be open world, first person, or something else.

#30 Posted by Animal-Mother (27137 posts) -

Can anyone describe this game to me more than open world monster shootery type thing?

#31 Posted by Lulu_Lulu (18493 posts) -

@ kuu2

I stand by my earlier statement.

Why is this game getting so much attention and yet we've seen almost nothing from it but a single mediocre trailer? Plus it's not like the studio has much of an impressive history of late, the horrible Resistance series and Fuse don't have me psyched for their next game.

#34 Posted by SolidGame_basic (19279 posts) -

I hope it ends up being as great as their latest masterpiece, Fuse.

Insomniac games always have interesting gun ideas.

I really believe that if you make an FPS and you can go all out with gun ideas there are a lot of possibilities and so there is nothing more boring than the overrepresenation of the modern times in the FPS genre. Always the same uninventive guns :(

Apart from the cool gun ideas, fuse was a terribly generic game.

yeah I forgot all about it to be fair, guess that speaks for itself. I'ma google it.

I want to see some gameplay. The trailer they showed had a cool style and was showing off a lot of different gameplay thrown into one. Interested to see how it call comes together. If it comes together well it could be a good killer app for the Xbox One, something the system sorely needs.

Sure, I haven't even read or watched reviews of the game, lol.

It just looked so boring once they switched the style to dudebro shooter and changed the name to fuse. I immediately lost all interest, and I normally like Insomniac games a lot...

To be honest, I won't be interested until I know a lot more about the game. All I know is the Dev and the trailer.

But hopefully it turns out well.

It's funny, I'm saying exactly the same about Bungie and Destiny. Haven't made a good game since Halo 3 etc etc.

Because it looks fun and cool, it's probably one of the best exclusives from 2014, although we better wait for previews until we start saying this.

One of the best exclusives in 2014? There hasn't even been an in-game screenshot!

The only reason it is getting any hype whatsoever is because it is an exclusive, plain and simple. Insomniac is out to prove they haven't lost it, thats how bad Fuse was. And heres hoping they've done that. But considering we're actually set to get multiple huge open-world games coming out this Fall (AC:Unity, Destiny, and GTAV Next-gen) I think its fair to say that just being open-world may not suffice...

Still, lets see what they got at E3 and from Edge.

But we also heard Phil Spencer say that this was the most played game in the office, and that this is mostly a very good indication about how the game will score. So we can say some things about it, we just have to wait until 8/05

What do you honestly expect him to say? "It's terrible and we don't like it."

He is a front man for products, a skilled PR guy. He will say anything and tease whatever you want in order to make everything seem okay and things are going fantastically. Hes said similarly about other Xbox One exclusive games over the last few months.

I can't believe you are going to sit here and tell people that because Phil Spencer, the man who was previously in-charge of overseeing all published game software by Microsoft for Xbox, is loving a game that they are going to publish, and you do not find that he may be justifiably biased? Come on now.

Come on now.

Someone asked him, "what are you guys playing around the office lately?". He didn't have to respond with Sunset Overdrive, 1 year before release... I just don't see a reason to disbelieve him, as if he is going to say: "This is the greatest gamer ever created", and after preview every gamingsite shits on it... That wouldn't even be credible...

So, because he just responded with SO, which he did purposefully because he got the exact reaction from followers like you, you think that is an indicator of anything?

That game is supposedly coming out this fall/holiday, a date that they reiterated earlier. Because i've shipped a few games professionally (most recently in March), I can assure that whatever the game is right now in development, it probably hasn't even entered the optimization phase, and they are probably crunching on getting some form of an E3 demo together in the next few weeks. Depending on when that tweet came out, there probably really wasn't much to play anyway.

You think that a build he is referring to even fully encapsulates everything that game is going to end up being, at this point? There are probably tons of features which aren't even implemented yet. Come on, if you follow this industry you should be smarter than this. Just to give you an example of what I am talking about - I shipped a game in late October of 2012. In August of that year, that game had ZERO work done on two full levels that would end up being featured in the final product. We completely fleshed them out, polished them, and shipped the game. 6 weeks prior, they didn't even exist.

The game I most recently worked on that got released had features that are in the game and being praised and loved that didn't exist 4 months ago!

Hipsters vs Zombies: The Videogame. Reminds me a lot of Team Fortress 2, not really sure if I'm excited about this or not.
