Intrigued by the strategy game, but worried it'll be another bargain bin Fire Emblem like the many that have graced 3DS.
@Blabadon: what's wrong with eshop?
It's fucking abysmal to use compared to any of the other storefronts out there and has terrible sales. It doesn't carry over between more than one console/handheld at once, and lord only knows how long Nintendo thought blocks would be a good idea.
It's unreliable for me for things that aren't a strict one-time playthrough, because I do not trust Nintendo at all to carry out a good storefront that successfully translates to a good customer-seller relationship.
Enter the Gungeon was one of my favourite games on PS4 last year (still play it after the free supply drop update). Looks like Switch is getting some really good indie games!!
Yooka Laylee, Shovel Knight, and Stardew Valley sign me up- as long as they're all physical versions.
The Switch getting indies isn't that surprising. The Wii U managed to get a decent amount of indie support after all. Wasn't expecting to see Bit Trip Runner 3 being Switch exclusive though, or to see timed exclusives.
I enjoyed the previous 2 Runner games so Runner 3 being Switch exclusive just gives me even more incentive to get a Switch.
Stardew Valley on the Switch is day 1. This game was meant for in the go play. I'll have to watch the full direct later.
Shovel Knight is also day 1. I can't wait until Friday.

Yeah but indies on wii u were like a big secret. On switch they're going out of their way to highlight their availability.
@charizard1605:
Does anyone know if the Multiplayer Stardew Valley will be local multiplayer - via split screen OR one would use the TV the other would use the portable screen? If it is, switch would be a no brainer buy for me. Stardew valley is so much fun and enjoying it with buddies with be even better.
Pocket Rumble looks like super fun. Definitely inspired by the Neo Geo Pocket fighters such as King of Fighters R-1 and 2.
They said Switch is getting Stardew Valley multiplayer first, not that it's exclusive.
I'm definitely interested in Steamworld Dig 2 and Wargroove as the newly announced games go. And glad to see we're getting Blaster Master Zero less than a week after Japan.
Celeste
Steamworld 2
Blaster Master
RIME
Fast RMX
Shovel Knight
Yooka
Those alone will keep me busy for a while. As if Zelda isn't going to be worth at least 100 hours.
I just hope majority of those Indie titles will get a physical release. Here's hoping for Bloodstain to get a Switch release this year! A Castlevania-esque game is needed for the Switch

This happens when nintendo gets serious feels like they really want the switch to get exclusives and lock stuff down
So much content! So many good games! My wallet can't take it!
Sure, not really a system seller. But for somebody who already owns a Switch, this, + VC games + portability = gaming paradise.
March 3rd can not get here sooner!
@jg4xchamp: No Wargroove? Figured that'd be your jam
All that footage does is remind me that Nintendo won't make real Advance Wars and instead continues to make Waifu emblem. Which would normally be disappointing, but eh, **** it, I'm sure Wargroove will be majestic or something. Video games are art n all.
Yooka-Laylee looks amazing, but damn, it really needs a close release date and a physical version or else I'll be picking it up on PS4.

Apparently it's relatively super easy to port on the Switch, especially with the Unity engine. Its version should release very soon, I guess.
I don't think the physical version will happen tho but who knows.
The Nindies Direct was just perfect, it looked really, really good. I'll probably get most of the games they showed just to play them on the go.
Btw, not sure how but Polygon got lots of footage from Switch indies games, for anyone interested.
Watching the vids made me feel like a kid again.
With the power of this machine and portability, indie games is a perfect fit. I honestly do not believe the switch will get much AAA 3rd party support, but having these games in a portable format may be a perfect niche for this console. It makes me want one just for this capability, well that and awesome Nintendo exclusives. ha!
