i thought they were gonna showcase the FPS module? the racing looks like its gonna be a blast and muitcrew battles is gonna cause me to miss work.
is that supposed to be released in a few months from now
Faces looks so bad. Scary like in Metro games
These are the first character models that they received from their partners . Before that , they were using base models in the hangar . Lot of work will be made to improve character detail and stuff . Warhorse Games (Kingdom Come : Deliverance) are helping them to achieve that and their character creation mode .
Chris said that final version of character models and their facial expressions will be AT LEAST one step ahead of Ryse : Son of Rome cutscenes .
It has a single player story campaign?
Yes , it is called "Squadron 42" . Campaign will be released as Standalone game in 2015 . Will have multiple endings .
Aside from grahpics....I'm still not sure why this game is so great.
thats a big surprise
Why is that?
The man doing the presentation is very good. Usually Sony Xbots business prattle over-rehersed fake bullshit buzzwordy. Genuine. A very rare thing to see.
Is this game supposed to be fun? I dont even find the gfx impressive... when i see The Order is like O.O when i see this its like ZzZz....
I see the usual BS has shown up.
But the order looks so much better and has so many gameplay elements . SC isnt even close . Thank you Sony
Amazing as usual... *must resist upgrading to a Constellation*

That's because you're a raging fanboy who would find a Sony branded turd "best ever".

That's coming at PAX Aus.

The Order allows you to fly space ships? Since when?

Do you need to borrow my sarcasm detector ?
This game makes me think of "The Emperor's New Clothes". Super hyped by its fans, but when I look at it all I see is really slow and dull gameplay presented in the most generic sci-fi style possible. The game is naked.

This is system wars. You can't really blame me for thinking you might be serious.
Typical sony bots have come in "this looks boring" .... we all know you only like corridor shooters so why is that a suprise to anyone really?
How you can't like these game concepts boggles my mind... I guess anything with alot of depth is out of the window here.
I'm starting to believe the hype.... now that they are showing proper gameplay (and the nice racing suprise) .... damn I'm terrible at flight games though, need to practice... the racing.... the skill cieling potential for that alone is insane.

Word on the street is that you can fly to the surface of a planet in real time and fly into outer space seemlessly. In other words, my dream game. Srsly tho, **** the system requirements.
Just start saving for next year or later, I imagine this will be realised in 2016. I dont know if the seemless travel thing is true, last I heard "it was expansion material" ... I didnt think planatery surface flying was a thing either.
they might of changed their mind since then however.

In what way was the racing slow? how else do you even in-vision the pace of a space flight/combat simulator?
What are you expecting star fox lazers? sheesh.
Would be like me going up to the ARMA guys and saying "Yea... your game is too slow..... Unreal Tournement is clearly better" ....

According to their forums the system req are actually not that insane. They recommend a quad core i5 or an Fx 8core ( that is the recommended as the minimum currently stands at just core2duo though the recommended minimum according to them is a core2quad or a phenomII x4). As for Gpu they said more or less something in the lines of 280x/770 will allow you to enjoy the game while the recommended minimum is a 650ti boost/7850. The game seems to scale all the way down to low end hardware up to high end hardware quite nicely
Game looks great. I bet the same Sony drones hating on this are jerking off to boring as **** looking No Man's Sky.
As usual , same old 3-4 hardcore sony fanboys appear to show their ignorance (Stay jelly) .

On launch , the game is confirmed to have 420 landing zones (planets , asteroids , underwater cities etc) . Everything is handcrafted and enviroments will be big enough to be explored . When you reach a planet , just like Freelancer you'll have to hit auto pilot . It'll take your ship to ground through clouds . When you enter clouds , the game will quickly load the place where you are about to land .
Then clouds will break and you'll be able to see the place , through your cockpit/windows . Auto pilot will take you to landing zone . Then you can go out of the ship and move freely . Later down the road , when procedural generation becomes on par with handcrafted worlds (depends on their R&D) and hardware catches up , they'll release procedural generation expansion , which will unlock entire planets to explore and you'll be able to move freely (atmospheric flight) .
Other than that , I'm pretty sure Squadron 42 campaign will have limited mission areas with boundaries (just like Wing Commander) where you'll be able to destroy enemy bases on planet while flying your ship . FPS on planets is already confirmed for both Squadron 42 (2015) and Star Citizen itself (2016) .

No, no. Just give in. It'll be the best thing you ever did.
I used to be a Freelancer boy, but these new variants converted me instantly. The Taurus is going to be the by and large best freight hauler overall (for it's size) and assuming the Caterpillar doesn't get substantially changed stats (i.e. weapon systems). The Hull C and Merchantman are big steps up in terms of size (the Hull C is a tad smaller than the Idris), with only marginal improvements in cargo capacity (which suggests to me they will change).
But yeah, I have an Aquila already and am looking to upgrade my Freelancer MAX into a Taurus (waiting to hear back from a friend's concierge about cross-chassis upgrades). The Aquila is going to be one of the best early-game ships, given it's crew capacity and exploration systems/potential (the rover alone is a massive point in it's favour). The Taurus is going to be my bread and butter once I discover some good jump routes that I can keep proprietary... because I can foresee not many people wanting to haul freight when there is racing and dogfighting to do.

Well the game hasn't been finish they could easily ramp those requirements when they add more things
Watched the entire thing last night. Was pretty awesome. Unfortunately, I need to spend my money on other things for now.
So this is what hermits have been drooling over all this time? Looks fucking boring.
indeed. It actually looks pretty bad.
I'd like to know what looks "bad" about it. Because it's been years since I've been this excited about playing a game. Hell, it's probably been close to a decade since I've been this excited.
@foxhound_fox: They're just mad XD It's hilarious when they judge games when they don't even have that many for their next-gen collection.

yeah but on the other hand more optimization will be done as well. In any case for the visuals it has the game looks to be well optimized

They're trolling.
The upsetting part is Gue's post count. I wouldn't expect someone as seasoned as him to be trolling so often. A quick look at his post history shows he's been doing it for quite some time.
