He was only in Brawl because Kojima wanted him to be, if I recall correctly. He is one of those characters that should be in the new one though, he was very unique.

I think you made an excellent choice with this new SSB HYPE thread and thanks so much for doing it. I'm looking forward to this SSB game for my Wii U this year. Be nice if I got a shout out or at least an acknowledgement of my ideas, time, or effort in giving a reasonable post explaining all those HYPE thread issues, though. Nothing big, just a thanks or some sort of post acknowledging all that effort. It's seems kind of rude to ignore such a polite and helpful post. A PM or a post in the old thread would have been nice. It's like I was invisible although I posted a well-reasoned six paragraph post explaining the problems and how to work around those problems. :( I don't want to take away from this thread, just I never can tell what people are thinking.

I am looking forward to the Wii U version in Winter. The 3DS handheld version Smash comes out Summer which I'll skip, but handheld fans should enjoy.

Mega Care Bear Stare! (I couldn't get the Megaman's similar Final Smash to work).

Super Smash Bros. is the only game on the Wii U that interests me. Same with the Wii.

Platformers and games with a heavy emphasis on puzzle solving are my least favorite aspects of video games and those two are Nintendo's favorites.

@R3FURBISHED: If I remember correctly, you do have a 3DS, right? You can just play Smash on that.

If this, MK8 get bundled with a Wii U, I'm definitely getting it.

Most overrated franchise in gaming. I would say COD is but people largely know what COD is and just don't care that it isn't particularly great. This? It's a total sacred cow. It's not a real fighter, it's a glorified party game with aggression. Power Stone did this better years ago.

I doubt this will be better than Project M.

Smash Run looked interesting, pity it's not coming to the WiiU version.

Ugh I just hope they allow customizeable controls I really like Brawl but the Wii was just a joke to me. Smash U looks cool and all but once again the Wii U is just so unappealing to me (lacking online for most of its games). Hopefully many of my friends get a Wii u so that I can just buy the controller I want and go to friend's houses. PSAS is nowhere near as good as Smash brothers but at least online works despite lame host advantage.

I may have to get a WiiU for this and X. I love smash Bros.

Greninja is a rather cool Pokemon in Pokemon X and Y.

Or I dunno, some sort of package where you can buy both version for a lower price.

I'd love to have both versions, but there is no way I'm going to pay that much for what is essentially, just one game on two systems.

Haven't played a pokemon game in a while, I want to get Pokemon X or Y someday. But is he really that well known ? Isn't the core of Smash Bros well known Nintendo characters (or characters in general) beating eachother up ?

Is wii fit trainer well known among the gamer audience ? Will the Wii Fit audience play this game ?

I'd rather have seen a return of Snake (a well known character among gamers) than any of those two.

They might have that package eventually; it just makes no sense to have it now, especially given the six month difference in the games' release dates.

Greninja is one of the more well received newer Pokemon. He is also a starter, so he's a pretty popular character.

Wii Fit Trainer is just following a Nintendo tradition of 'troll' but surprisingly compelling characters- his/her inclusion in the game is no different than, say, R.O.B. or Mr. Game and Watch.

Snake was supposed to be a one time deal, he was never going to be a series regular (especially given how SSB is a celebration of Nintendo, and Snake's games almost never show up on Nintendo).

Yeah, that's also something that bothers me. The six months wait for the WiiU version.

Where Mr. Game and Watch and ROB are nice easter eggs so to say, they are still way better than Wii Fit trainer. I'm sorry, I just can never see me playing with such a character-less character. Also, she has no face. She has nothing, nothing that makes her stand out. A blue gym shirt and track pants, that's all the character she has. It's a stupid inclussion in a game that has many interesting characters. Even the pokemon have way more character, and they only say their own name, lmao.

This is just conjecture. Kojima requested Sakurai put Snake into Melee, but it didn't pan out due to time constraints. Considering Snake was one of the more unique fighters in Brawl it would be disappointing to see him get cut.

Like his new design and its good to have him back. He is one my favorite characters to play since he is pretty awesome on 4 player battles. One hit and your gone, just the way I like it! Sending three people flying at once is the greatest feeling. :P

Hoping the Awakening rep is still a thing. A good chance it is is but I can see people getting worried about that.
