Japanese devs regaining that confidence, compared to the total dominance they had around 10 years ago. These usually last 1 hour, so Square must have a shit tons of stuff to show. This gen is really shaping up like a slower paced 6th generation days.

Hehe you can really tell PlayStation is back on top when Japanese devs get their E3 spots. I can see lots of good shit from Japan this gen. It will be like the first time ever when both West and East developers are relevant at the same time. Thank Xbox 360 for that.

Eh let's hope what they have to show is actually worthy of an independent conference. Remember Konami 2010? Or Ubi the year they bad their host use the term "girl wood"? Publishers tend to try way too hard to be cool.

They won't. That Square is long gone. They'll probably be announcing another Lightning FF. FF16: Lightning Returns Again

-Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
-Rise of the Tomb Raider - should be playable
-Maybe a tease or announcement for Hitman

Square proper
-Final Fantasy 15 - should be playable at E3
-Star Ocean 5 - At the least a trailer
-Kingdom Hearts 3 - It better have a trailer
-Bravely Second - Should be playable at E3
-Remakes/Ports/Spinoffs - the not so cool stuff

I'm not super excited, as much as I just think they have a good enough selection of games to warrant their own conference. Maybe a surprise or two, but it's Square so they will find a way to do something super lame. Hopefully it's super troll like the FF7 thing.

All i want is a modern vagrant story.

Give me a new Ehrgeiz or Einhander and I'd get pretty excited, I know it's not going to happen so I'm not going to get excited. Heck I'd be excited for a new Tobal No. 3 but like I said, that Square is long gone.

But not quite enough. Will watch Sony's and maybe, maybe MS's, but that will be prob be as much as I can stomach.
