Aside from pushing the release a few times, it's Bugsidian. It took them 5 years to release Alpha Protocol and only with a few dozen bugs (not to mention that every single one of their games are buggy failures)

Apparently Ubisoft acquired the rights earlier in the year, so yes. Also, if Ubisoft are the ones releasing new screens, then why would they be debating releasing the game? South Park already has a huge fanbase. I imagine the game will make money regardless of Obsidian's quality assurance 'methods'.

On top of that, I read previews of it from the E3 floor, so my guess is the game is fine, and will release at some point around the CoD November rush

So long since we've seen anything from this game. What are Ubisoft and Obsidian doing that is more important than finishing this.

This was supposed to release in march when it was published by THQ (probably in a broken state) is this still supposed to release this year ?

I like southpark and all but over the past 3 or 4 years I can barely stand an entire episode. Even the best episodes are old by the time they are done, and thats just like 22 minutes. I cant imagine playing a game written by the same people that lasts 6 or more hours. I dont think very highly of obsidians games any way.

This looks like it'll be the definitive South Park game...though I'm not really a fan of the show.  That said if it turns out to be a pretty good RPG overall I might check it out.  Obsidian can produce a fine game when they get their egregious technical issues under control.  

I'll care when a release date is set in stone, it was suppose to be out in March, then pushed back to April then got pushed back to whatever release date that is floating around now.
