There would be some games that take a blu-ray dvd. Im pretty sure Sony is not a dumbass company and they discovered about blu-ray. DVD has only 4.7 GB space and its not enough for the future. There is a game thats called Flight Simulator X. That game got 16 GB so thats the start for blu-ray.

Also GTA IV. I think GTA IV ps3 would get +5 GB.

And you bought $250 of last gen technology. your point? How is that even relevant to the TC's post? Also, Yeah, I do think Sony is definitely thinking ahead on this one. with Blu-ray taking the charge for HD format, and by standardizing a HDD/HDMI, they are definately going for longevity.

Whoah buddy, take a chill pill and lay off the hateraid. What I meant was if you bought the $600 pos3 then you better be getting something in the future, just like sony said themselves. He posts all these specks and stuff on that system and says that games in the future will be better... potential. Until it gets at least one OK game, I'll stick with my "last gen" technology and be better off.

Well, that's true but the PS3 can only utilize dual layer BDs, so it's capped at 50GB.
