I vote MGS5. My favorite series ever, well top 3 definitely. What do you guys think?

Bloodborne, Witcher 3 or FFXV. i luv miself some RPG. there are many great games coming, but i'm sure i'll spend the most time with these 3 games this year.
How are you measuring biggest game ?
Highest sales
Highest review scores
Biggest marketing budget
Biggest world
Longest average playtime
biggest for YOU, obviously.
Zelda. It is Zelda which always has hype. This time though there is great mystery surrounding the game.
Witcher, undoubatbly. There has to be some mega bombshell announcements for games that are going to come out this year for anything else to beat it.
By objective metrics such as sales or critical reception? Zelda.
Sales? Lol
Halo 5, and its not even close
I'm honestly thinking this too, I don't know what it is but I think that 343 is going to bat this game out of the park. There's just something about it that makes me think it's going to be Halo/Halo 2 successful and rated just as high. This game is going to move so many Xbox One's it's not even funny, all that 30-40% of the PlayStation 4 user base who abandoned the Xbox platform for Sony, do you think they're really going to be able to hold out?
Not a chance...
witcher and arkham easily trump MGS
Technically, its still a niche game which to me doesn't make sense, no kinda does.
Anyway popularity wise yeah MGS doesnt even come close
In terms of sales, it should presumably be Halo 5. MGS5 is pretty big, and might do well since it's the first major multiplatform MGS game to be released simultaneously on multiple platforms. Zelda is right there, too.
I dunno, Bloodborne appears to be getting lots of attention, and given its exclusive status I think the Sony fans will be talking about it for the next year. There are probably legit MGS fans out there really pumped but probably won't get the fanfare of MGS4 given it is not exclusive.
Halo 5, and its not even close
On a personal level yes, but it isn't the biggest as Halo 2, 3 threatened for anymore.
For me? The Witcher 3, Arkham, MGS, and Halo

Up to now it is Bloodborne.
Overall it will most likely be MGSV. Halo 5 could be a runner up, but TW3 comes closer to MGSV.
Personally I'm looking forward to MGSV the most.

If you're joking, I apologize in advance. Otherwise, wut?
Each main series MGS release alone has outsold each Witcher release alone. MGS2 (only counting the PS2 release) almost equals the entire LTD sales of The Witcher franchise in total lol. Add the Substance release on PS2 and Xbox and MGS2 has sold more than The Witcher franchise.
MGS may not be a household name like Mario, Zelda, Halo, CoD, etc. but it's much closer to that status than The Witcher. If you think MGS is niche then you might as well look at The Witcher series like a couple of indie titles.
Now with Arkham City/Asylum, you do have an argument. Naturally, if you take the Batman IP and craft some great games, you're going to get some great sales. Even then, across multiple platforms (3 with Asylum, 4 with City) it's still not shutting out MGS numbers.
MGS on PS1 (6 million), MGS2 on PS2 (7 million), MGS3 on PS2 (5 million) and MGS4 on PS3 (6 million).
Now if MGS performs this well with single platform releases, how do you think MGSV is going to fair on 5 platforms?
I don't consider MGS to be some sales behemoth, nor do I care. However, a series that consistently breaks 5 million is not niche.
It's without a doubt more popular than The Witcher franchise and sales wise MGSV is going to blow TW3 out of the water. MGS already outperforms TW on single platform releases, now we're going to see it on 5. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it doubles TW3 sales.

Man I wouldn't be surprised if Zelda is the highest scoring game of the year, but we both know it's going to get torn apart in sales by many other releases.
Witcher, undoubatbly. There has to be some mega bombshell announcements for games that are going to come out this year for anything else to beat it.
You mean for yourself? If so, cool.
Otherwise it's a AA franchise with so-so sales.
Depends on who you are. Arkham Knight is the only game I've been looking forward to this gen. MGS 5 isn't even on my radar.

Agreed, objectively speaking they'll both be vastly superior games and actually look next gen unlike MGSV and it's shallow ocean of content.
Not sure if they'll outsell it though since Konami is milking the game by putting it on last gen consoles. But the best selling game of 2015 will probably be COD again.
We got so many!
The Witcher 3
Xenoblade Chronicles X
Batman Arkham Knight
Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain
and just recently released Bloodborne.
2015 is a great year to play video games.
Impossible to choose at this point. I'm split on a 3 way tie between Arkham Knight, Zelda U, and MGS5. I know I'll be getting more replay value out of MGSV than the former two due to its breadth of options and free form nature, but I'm equally hyped for all 3 nonetheless.

There is nothing objective about that at all. Quite the opposite actually, you're short selling MGS5 big time.
The Arkham games are excellent, I wouldn't change a thing about them. They're also very simplistic titles mechanically, it's the pacing and encounter design that makes them a home run. Arkham is a shallow ocean, but not to a fault. Just as Mario platformers are shallow games, yet extremely well executed.
Ground Zeroes on the other hand; a limited demo confined to one area, no boss fights, heavily lacking on the abilities and items that will be in The Phantom Pain, completely missing the rpg elements present in TPP, still manages to showcase far more depth and freedom of play than an entire Arkham game.
And that's just the demo.
You're off your rocker with this one.
Likely the new Rare game ::o
Thus far, Halo 5 unless ME4 launches this year (yeah right) then I may need to think on it a lil mooaaar... Nah, it's Halo 5. :P
@treelog187: Your shit taste is showing

It is objective, even if we ignore the fact that MGSV looks like utter shit in comparison (open world at the cost of having awful textures) where as Witcher 3 and AK LOOK next gen (enough sense to not put them on previous gen consoles unlike Konami wanting to milk every last dime possible) the Witcher and Arkham games actually have compelling side content, the Zsasz phone calls and the Riddler trophies are about 1000x more compelling and flat out more fun than the side content in Ground Zeroes was hence the shallow ocean syndrome. Hell even Arkham Origins (which wasn't even made by Rocksteady) had optional boss fights that were 1000x better than the side content garbage in Ground Zeroes.
Seriously? Kill the target and escape? Get the data and escape? What a f*cking joke. Phantom Pain won't be able to get by on it's single player, that's probably why they had to throw in a tacked on MP to make up for the lack of compelling content in the single player.
Out of all the major open world games coming out this year, Xenoblade Chronicles X, AK, Witcher 3, Zelda (if it goes open world) MGSV will by far be the weakest if Ground Zeroes was any indication.
