So are you getting Call of Duty this year?

It's Treyarch or bust for me. So I'll be skipping this one and will just wait till there is a free weekend on steam to play it.

No, I will wait for Treyarch's Call of Duty game next year. They make the best Call of Duty games.

I do have to say, Advanced Warfare is the first COD game on my want list.

I'm interested in seeing what this new developer can do. They have been at work on this one for a while. I'm not expecting to buy it though.

I'll grab the next CoD that releases with Zombies, since I occasionally have friends over that like to split screen co-op that together. I know we have a new dev this time, but I'm assuming Zombies are likely staying on the treyarch releases only.

nah. last COD game I played was MW2 and the last one I enjoyed was the second one.

Last one I got was WAW,lost interest in the series since then and I doubt this new one will change anything,that type of FPS gameplay is the bottom of the barrel for the genre,not interested in it.

I haven't played a CoD game since the first. I bought CoD 4. But, my wife gave it to my nephew before I can even take off the shrink wrap. Actually, he traded me Rise of Legends for it even though I didn't really want to.

I havent bought a COD game since COD2 which I thought was utter shite, so I think ill be giving this one a miss.

Unless Treyarch makes another COD in a historic setting next year, I don't see myself buying a COD ever again. And even then, chances are very slim I will.

Yeah, every year people just beg me to buy it so we can play together with like 5 people. Then I buy it and play it for like 5 months. If it has a zombie mod I play it till I die in real life.

Hell no. For singleplayer I'll pick up Far Cry 4, for multiplayer we got Titanfall and Battlefield Hardline.

Just goes to show how a fresh coat of paint over what is essentially exactly the same game can woo people into thinking it looks different. I am tired of setpiece based military shooters. They should just stop making singleplayer all together and focus on the only part of the package that has any value at all, the multiplayer. It seems like few military FPS have a good singleplayer anymore.

@organic_machine: Perhaps they should do what Valve do with Team Fortress 2. Just constantly release free updates for the game, instead of making new games.

I'm done with Call of Duty. I gave Ghosts a shot, but just never got into it. That was my first CoD in a loooong time.

As someone who has bought every COD since MW2 at midnight to play with friends, idk about this game. It seems very much a "Titanfall rip-off". I know most people will laugh at that because the game has been in development for awhile, but it just doesn't grab my attention and adding jet packs and mechs just seems like a gimmick to me. I love Titanfall and I just can't see COD doing jet packs and mechs better than TF. I'll try it for sure, but idk if I'll buy it.

Far Cry 4 will be my sole FPS for the rest of the year unless Doom ends up good.

I buy CoD every year. I am a fan of the franchise as a whole. Some are better than others, but they are always fun to play and the online multiplayer is second to none!! Although I will say that The Master Chief Collection and Destiny will be giving CoD a tussle for my play time this year! Have zero interest in BF Hardline. Aren't all the CoD's reskins? At least Hardline has different mp mods from other Battlefields and a new take on the camapaign.

What if BFBC 3 was a reskin, would you still want it? Why do you want BFBC 3 anyway?

Let's say they don't get the benefit of the doubt.

The BFBC series is more fun than regular BF. The multiplayer is tighter and more fun to play. BF gets way too caught up in the "how big can we make these battle fields" and doesn't focus on the fun of combat! BFBC's medium size maps are more action packed and not as dominated by vehicles like BF3 and 4 were. I enjoyed BFBC 1 and 2 and didn't like BF3 or 4 tbh!!

Main reason Bad Company was 32 players was the weak consoles. Highly doubt there will ever be another BF that doesn't have 64 player modes.

If more action and less vehicles are your thing then you would like domination in BF 4.

I would rather have Hardline since it has new mp modes.

I guess I'm just thinking more inspired than a direct analog. For instance, the rocket jumping and smart grenades. Stuff like that will make the MP pick up pace from your typical CoD fare imho. Also, the kill bonuses are going to have to keep pace with some of these gameplay dynamics.

My hunch is literally based off of what little we have seen, admittedly. I could be way off, but if anything, the "flavoring" will be there. It could be a nice departure from the 50 other CoDs in that respect. It may also just be wishful thinking.

I've played the campaigns of COD game since MW1 (so all of them except the very first three in its WW2 era) yet I haven't bought a CoD game yet.

I would play Advanced Warfare but I don't know if this will be the first CoD game I'll buy.

I actually will be getting it. Haven't bought a CoD game since MW2, so it should feel pretty fresh nowadays.
