I liked that game a lot. Excluding the DLC, I played every inch of that game right down to going on dates.

I bought Tomb Raider DE on PS4 because I had a gift card and only paid $30 for it. I just picked up The Last of Us on PS4 because I got it for "free" with two trades. I would never have spent the full asking price for these as I already had them on PS3.

At this rate I'm expecting to see NBA Live 10 Definitive Edition some time next summer.

As for the topic, this wont stop. Because people buy them. And I knew this was the new thing last gen when GoW collection came out. I could understand the upgrade from sd to HD.

Love the game but already played it in 1080P on the PC.....this does need to stop. I don't know, how about Sleeping Dogs 2 instead? Lazy assholes.

We should skip that part where we go "ugh another port" and just be like, yo remember that fun part in Sleeping Dogs.

I liked the breaking peoples legs with the combat move. Good times. Batman needs more of that. Like Batman's combat is overall vastly superior, but Batman doesn't break anyone's legs. Wei Fucking Shen does. Correct this Batman.

I loved Sleeping Dogs on PC don't get me wrong. I just don't get it. Sleeping Dogs is 2 years old and was considered a sales failure. How is it a good idea to launch it at $60 or even at all? It doesn't make business sense.

So they're porting the game to newer system, big whoop. Are you being forced to buy it? No, right. Feel free to proceed with more whining about how it affects new game developments, even if it makes little sense.

Awesome game for those who never tried it, I put in about 20 hours last Gen, not double dipping on this one,,....I will with the Gta5 rerelease though

Again, what is the point of making new games when you can just port your old games over and they still sell?

If they want to resell a slightly updated game for full price then thats their business, obviously anyone who falls for it is a moron... But thats there choice to make and we have no right to stop them.

It doesn't need to stop. Ports are fine as long as they are priced well. $60 HD ports need to stop. $40 is the max they should be launching at.

Why Sleeping Dogs? Why? Really why this game? It's not a bad game, just, why does SD need an HD port?

I have not played the game so for the right price i may pick it up.

Haven't played Sleeping Dogs but I don't plan on getting it when it releases. Too many other good games are coming out. I might just wait for a price drop or not get it,

Also full price for a single game? Either Sleeping Dogs is getting a full remaster ala Halo anniversary, or it's going to get "resolution/fps bump because next gen". Let's take a guess which one it'll be.

This, I'm perfectly fine as long as they bring over ports I'd want to get and not cross that $40 thresh hold. The only game I'd even consider going over $40 for a remaster/port was TLOU.

My bet would be Hitman Absolution. That's the last game in Squares sales failure trio that hasn't had a "Definitive Edition" announced.

The pc version was significantly better looking than the console version and technically, next gen.

If being the only option of a peasant existed (incredibly powerful pc) (really fast) the option of getting a much better version of a fantastic game, would be very appealing.

The enhancements to Dues Ex: Human Revolution combining the missing link as well as fixing the poor battles was a fairly cheap digital upgrade on the pc that gave a great excuse to go back and play as Christian Bale in Blade Runner land.

I was fortunate enough to get it for free with Xbox Live Gold. I couldn't get past four hours of GTA4, but I played every ounce of Sleeping Dogs. Truly.

I hope its more than just an up-rez because the game looks decidedly last-gen even maxed on pc. They need to completely overhaul every asset.

Wake me when mass effect trilogy gets the update. That's about the only last gen game I'm interested in seeing a Definitive Edition for atm.

Side note, if these publishers are focusing assets on buffing last gen ganes instead of developing new ip I think it's a bloody shame.

@musicalmac: unfair comparisson... sleeping dogs vs gta4? SD is a competent open world game with pretty decent combat, GTA4 is a steaming pile of twice baked crap.
